It would be awesome if people in the newcomer group can share some of their likes and dislikes so we have the option to personalize gifts.

Hi, welcome to the group. As well as participating in the FE, it would be great to see you all at our Meet and Greet, which is at The Vista Café at 3pm on Departure Day.
Regarding personalising the gifts, it's a lovely idea, but in my experience most people give the same gifts to everybody, sometimes however doing different gifts for various age groups, given the restraints of time and luggage allowances for those who are flying in (we're from the UK, so don't have the option to drive and bring more luggage.) Of course, the vast majority do take note of allergies. This is our 3rd time participating in FE, and I would say from those experiences, most people love gifts which have been handmade, or represent the area you live in. Hope this helps, looking forward to meeting you in less than 4 weeks.

We are third time cruisers and had a Fish Extender last time but it sort of just hung there. Can someone explain to me what to do? How many people do we leave treats for? There are 5 of us me, hubby, DS (9), DD(7), and DS(3). Three Weeks and I cannot wait!!!

We are so excited to be heading on our first DCL cruise in three weeks. It will be the first cruise ever for our kids (DD 7 and DS 4). The kids are looking forward to meeting a bunch of new friends.

There aren't that many rules for the FE the basic ones are that you give at least one gift to any other stateroom which is on the list, although some people give one per person, others give one for the adults and one for the children. You also need to make sure you Fish Extender is hung on the fish outside your cabin as soon as you can on arrival day, as quite a lot of folk like to deliver the gifts as soon as possible. Finally, all gifts need to be delivered by Thursday evening, to give people a chance to pack them before the luggage is left outside the cabins for collection on Friday.
