Oh I should mention that they are total newbies it is their first cruise ever so they are super pumped. I have told my sis about this site and she will be logging on. Any special things about Disney cruises that they should know or about the Fantasy specifically?

My husband and I and our 2 kids are so excited to be going on a cruise. My son was granted a wish from the children's Wish Foundation. And this is gonna be some wish. So far the waiting for February to get here is the worst part. Not sure what else to say so I'll leave it at that for now. I am the sister friskat (in the post above this one) is talkin about.

Yes, waiting for February to get here is the worst part (there is 46 days left!); not that I am counting.

Hi all my sister and her family are going to be on this sailing with you. I just found this board as I am a cruiser and usually use Cruise critic for info. What is the FE that you are talking about and gift exchange? Also how would they sign up for the meet and greet?

Fish Extenders are basically a small gift giving exchange on the cruise. Its a great way to meet other folks on your cruise. Be aware sign up closes at 5pm EST today, to allow everyone participating enough time to prepare. Regardless of whether you participate or not you are welcome to join us at events etc.

I'm still looking and hoping for someone to cancel a cabana on Feb 15-22,2014 Fantasy cruise..

My sister and I are taking my parents on this cruise for their 40th anniversary and I know they would absolutely LOVE it on either family beach or serenity bay...

If it wasn't sure a special occasion, I probably wouldn't post this.. But I know sometimes people have a cabana booked & keep it when they intend to larger cancel it at the last minute..

So if anyone has one booked but not 100% happy with location or unsure at all, please PM me to let me know when you may cancel? It would make my family very happy

I am new to this forum. I just heard about fish extenders for the first time, and was very disappointed to find out that I had missed the deadline. Are there any other families sailing on the Fantasy Western Caribbean Cruise departing on 2/15/14 that might be interested in a fish extender gift exchange (that also missed the deadline)? Thought it might be worth asking!

My husband and two boys (ages 8 and 10) and I can't wait to cruise on the Fantasy!

I don't mind making a extra gift for your family. I have already purchased the things I need but I bought more than I needed.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I would love to start a latecomer fish extenders group. Here are the details (I posted the same details on a new thread, but can't seem to repost the link here, so I am just repeating the info):

Did you miss the sign up for the Fish Extender Exchange for the February 15th-February 22nd, 2014 Fantasy Western Caribbean 7 Night Cruise? Join our latecomer fish extenders group!

Fish Extender (FE) - This is a fun "game" that is like a Secret Santa type idea. A Fish Extender (FE) itself is a pocket panel/bag you hang from the fish shaped hook outside your stateroom. Families that join the FE group hang the Fish Extender outside their cabin and then, as the cruise is underway, participants deliver little gifts to the others participating in the group by leaving them as a surprise in the fish extenders. Who doesn't love presents it's a ton of fun, not just for kids.

The deadline for this latecomer sign up is Friday, January 31st, 2014.

Guidelines for our fish extender:


1. All gifts are to be delivered between the cruise leaving port on Saturday, February 15th until 4 PM on Friday, February 21st. This gives people time to still be able to pack their bags before we leave the ship the morning of February 22nd.

2. As far as the gifts... you can either give one gift to each cabin, or a gift to each person in the cabin. It is the thought that counts. There are no strict rules regarding gifts (no minimum or maximum dollar value). Gifts can be homemade or storebought, Disney, non-Disney, totally up to you!

3. Please feel free to attach your DISboards name to your gift so we can know who to thank ☺

To take part in the FE, please private message WebsterFamily the following information or just post it in the thread below

-DISboard name
-stateroom number
-name of adults and children (gender and ages) in the cabin
-any other pertinent information i.e., celebrations, allergies, and anything else you want us to know
-your email address...I will email the final list to all participants.

If you are uncomfortable posting any of the personal information, you can simply say whatever you are comfortable with.

After the sign up deadline of January 31st, I will complete the list and email all participants a copy. Then you’ll know how many FE gifts to prepare with the cabin number of where to deliver it.

I had also cruised with Disney before, but didn't know about fish extenders until the deadline had passed. So I started a latecomer group, and we would love to have you join!! I just posted the details, but if you don't see the info, message me at WebsterFamily.

We already have a couple of families, so it should work out just fine.
