We made a short six night visit to WDW the last week of February. Although the parks weren't crowded, the restaurants were hopping! Make those reservations.

We've been to all the signature restaurants many times with the exception of FF. We finally tried it last week and it was excellent! I had the signature dish of snapper wrapped in a potato crust and it was excellent. DS2 loved his salmon. DH adn son both enjoyed the lobster bisque. DH ordered the scallops. Beautiful presentation. Dave was our server and was excellent. He timed the meal just as we asked. I had the champagne flight with dinner and loved that. My DH chose the chardonnay flight and enjoyed that as well. we have a reservation for next trip and I can't wait.

Columbia Harbor House was another first for DS2 and I. His fish and chips looked quite good and was a generous serving. DH and I had the tuna sandwich and 1/2 sandwich and vegetarian chili. Both were good and CHH was a good choice for a quick lunch especially on a Friday in Lent.;)

We've had DDE since it first opened to APers. But this was our first time since the automatic 18% was added. Loved the simplicity of it.

We also did the Deluxe DDP for the first three nights of our trip but spread the dinners over 4 nights. We'll probably do it again for part of our next trip. I rounded one meal as the only part of the receipt I have is the part with the DDP tip and the DDE discount on my DH beer. Anyway, we "spent" a little over $400 more than we paid. Our savings were $300 over the DDE discount. But we did order desserts each meal of the plan which we usually wouldn't do. Too hard to resist this trip.

We dined at Tutto, CG, FF, and Jiko. Lunches were at Columbia Cafe, Mama's, Le Cellier, GFC, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, RFC and CHH. We also played bridge in our villa at AKL two nights and enjoyed appetizers from the concierge lounge and sandwiches and salads from Mara one night and carryout from Columbia Cafe and Cafe d'Antonio another. Happy to answer any questions.

Oh, and a very pleasant surprise for my DH was the crab cakes at GFC. He said they were great and he's a very tough grader. Not quite what you'd get in Baltimore but far better than any others he's had in years. Flaky crab and very light and tender breading...not hockey pucks.;)

And I had a great pork and apple flatbread at CG. It had jalapeno aoili and was nice and spicy.

Ah yes.... another FF convert. :cool1:

Glad you enjoyed it.

B.

Yes, we're converted. But our problem is that we have too many favorites. We just can't get to all of them in any given trip.:sad2:

How was Tutto????

It was great. This is the 4th time we've dined there and we really enjoy it.

I had an eggplant appetizer that I ordered last time. Very different and tasty. Tangy and sweet at the same time. We all enjoyed everything we ordered and service was great yet again. It's on the list for next time as well.

But it is expensive. Just the food portion of the bill was $189.57 for three of us. That was more than our dinners at CG and Jiko. Only FF beat it. We were on the dxDDP at that point and I'm glad.;)
