I love these boards so much, I wondered if I could ask your advice. We have our first 4 day cruise scheduled for April in a cat 6. The florida resident rates have just been announced, and I'm thinking maybe we should switch to January and take along grandma and grandpa (who live in Orlando). On the plus side, it is about half the price to go in January, and it would be nice to all cruise together. I'm a little worried that it will be too cold-we now live in Texas, and the kids, ages 3 and 5, are used to warm-weather swimming. still, they could play in the sand. any advice as to what you would do? thanks in advance.

Personally I would keep the April date. Jan is to cold for swimming even in the Bahama as far as I am concerned,I like the water warm!

We went last February (love those FL resident rates!) and for the price, would do it again. The water at CC was too cold for me but the kids weren't bothered by it and they're used to the warm ocean temps here is SW Fl.

Good question! ::yes::

We are considering a Feb 2006 cruise as a celebration for my MIL's 70th Birthday. I am now thinking that she may be too cold. She lives in the Phoenix area and is cold in the summer when she visits us in Maine. We did an April cruise last year and found the weather and water to be perfect (a little chilly in the evenings on a few nights).

Has anyone done a Feb cruise and an April cruise to compare the two?
