Hi all! I am experiencing the most indecisiveness EVER over when to schedule our 2015 trip!! We are looking at a week stay, Sat - Sat. Unfortunately, I work in a school, so I have no choice but to go during breaks for a trip of this length. If you had to choose between Feb (president's week and also mardi gras!!) or the week including/following Easter, which do you think would be better?? Crowd calendar on touring plans predicts slightly smaller crowds in April, but I assume prices will be higher...thoughts? advice? Thanks!!

I have been in February twice & I wouldn't choose it because the weather could be cold & if I am going to Florida, I want it hot. I really don't want to wear pants, light coats, long sleeves, shoes that require socks, etc... when in FL.

Anyways, I got sick once in February, a fever, cold, runny not normal colored snot, etc... It was from splash mountain & I was soaked & it was chilly. So yeah, February isn't a time I would choose to go.

Also, it snows here in CT & I see are in Michigan & I am sure you get winter weather that could delay a flight. But I seem to remember the crowds weren't that bad, it wasn't presidents week, I don't think but the parks weren't open late.

As far as April, I would choose it weather wise. FYI, if you are going Easter week, you can leave on that Good Friday assuming you don't have school that day to add yet another day to your trip.

I have gone to WDW a few times growing up in April & the weather was nice but that was before there was more then 1-2 parks. The past 2 April's we have gone to FL but to Ft. Myers. There the weather was great, tropical, etc... We drove in 2013 & took the Autotrain in 2014 so we had the opportunity, OK more like me begging to go to DtD for dinner/lunch.

DtD was crowded! Also the weather while it was warm & you could wear shorts I could tell it was colder then where we just were.

In april you don't have to worry about snow storms even though there are those freak storms we get every so often.

I would choose April over February due to weather. But I would choose August over those 2 not that you asked about other times.

I would book for April vacation to get the better weather. It can be cold in February and it is offseason so there is normally more refurb going on then. In April you can use the pool and water parks. I think Easter is a little earlier this year so you may have lower crowds after the holiday. When it is later in the month, it mixes with a lot more vacation weeks than if early.

I don't have experience, but have heard that it is busier in Feb. when Mardi Gras and Feb. vacations line up.

If you want to swim, then April is probably safer, though the pools are heated year round (which is enough for my kids).

Crowdwise, the weeks before and after Easter seem to be second only to Christams/New Years in terms of crowds. While President's week is more crowded than, say, the first week of Feb, it won't be as crowded as Easter week, and the crowds that are there typically will start to thin considerably by Tuesday.

Another time that we have had success is the week of Memorial Day. We are in the south, so our schools get out by Memorial Day when a lot of the northeastern schools are still in session. So, it's summer without the full brunt of the summer crowds -- much less crowded than easter.

I really enjoyed our February trip but we went during a very low crowd week. I would choose April if crowd levels were similar. There were rides down for refurbishment, which is very common in February, it was chilly some days (and beautiful some others!) and I think in April you get the flower/garden festival.

Too bad there is no way with my husband's job we could ever go March-September :-/

I've been to WDW in February and April. Our last trip in 2014 was in April, during Easter week and it was crowded but not the worse I've ever seen. I agree with the other posts that it can be a lot cooler in February. We didn't use the pools or water parks when we went in February. Our Easter Break in 2015 is starts April 3rd. Easter is early next year. I'd choose April for the nicer weather.
