We currently have a trip planned for February 12-14th in the parks, Disneyland scheduled for the 12th and 14th. This was booked before I was aware of the sweethearts nights which are happening both nights when we are scheduled to be in Disneyland. This is my families first trip so I am concerned this will take away from maximizing our time in the park for both days. Also realizing now that our first day the 12th is the day after the Super Bowl, does anyone know if the teams will be at Disneyland? My final question is should we reschedule our days out by one day 13-15th instead to avoid sweethearts nights and also a potentially busy day after Super Bowl, any insight or advice appreciated. Thank you!

It kind of depends on what you are looking for out of the trip. Sweetheart nights doesn't start until 9pm. So if you are really looking forward to spending time in Disney at night then it might be worth rescheduling but it should still be getting dark around 5pm that time of year. If you have young kids 9PM is a good time to get out of there anyway.

It will start to get busier after Dinner those days as I think people with tickets to the event can get in earlier.

If it were me, I would probably leave it as is since the park is still open until 9pm anyway.

Okay thank you, yes I was just told we would have to leave the park at 8pm so that’s why I was thinking of switching the days. Also do you have any insight for the 12th regarding day after Super Bowl?

You will have to leave by 8, even though the party doesn't start until 9. Sweetheart attendees will be admitted to the park starting at 6, so it will get busy. If 2 of these nights fell on my park days, I would definitely change my days.

The MVP from the winning team will be there on Monday. (Last year, it was Patrick Mahomes.) There is usually a small parade down main street with them in it.

(Also, of note, if the Super Bowl is held east of the Missisippi, the MVP goes to WDW. If it's west, they go to DL. So, since it's in Vegas, it's in DL in 2024. In 2025, it will be at WDW.)
