Hi. Assuming Disney comes out with a room only discount for February, how much do you think it would be? And would it apply to Pop Century?
I see from Mousesavers that last year the discount offer was 10% to 30%. That offer came out on October 9.

Rumor is from a couple sources that discounts will come out Monday. Pop Century should be included, as to the amount it could vary but 10-30% is probably a good range.

Pop Century will be about 10%. 30% off will be Deluxe & Villas.

Thanks. I called Disney today and asked about discounts. The CM said call back mid October but I knew the Dissers would have better intel!

VISA DISCOUNTS ARE LIVE!!!

See this note from Orlando By Joe facebook:

Remember those discounts I mentioned yesterday? Well, if you have a Disney Visa, you can book them RIGHT NOW!!!!
The stay, play, dine is available for dates sod December 13-19 and January 2 thru March 7. Exclusions include All Star Movies, French Quarter, Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation, Campsites, Bay Lake Tower, Grand Floridian and Polynesian Villas. River side is excluded from the December portion but available for the rest.
There is also a room discount as well f...rom January 2 thru April 13. Same exclusions apply except it appears All Star Movies is available for this one.
Just call Disney and ask for the Disney Visa offer!!!
I'll update this post as more accurate information becomes available.

Just an Update on this...Last year I started a thread where we determined how the discount worked http://www.disboards.com/threads/stay-play-dine-calculation.3339097/
Until this goes live on the website I can't dissect it BUT I can tell you it definitely isnt' as good as the SPD last year. At a VERY ROUGH Glance It looks like maybe 50% off on dining with no other discount OR 5% off Room and 40% off dining.
Regardless...The discount from what I can see is definitely worse than last year and for those on the fence of a room only OR SPD discount in past years the better deal this year may be room only however YMMV depending on how you choose to dine.

I called in just a few minutes ago. They confirmed that the discounts are up for Disney Visa holders. I priced out Room Only and PSD for POR for my trip in Feb.

There are five of us 2 adults 3 children at POR for 6 nights/5 days. The discount ended up being approximately a 12% discount for both the SPD, and Room only. (As a heads up, they didn't have discounted garden rooms or pool view , just preferred rooms)

My sister just texted that she called on her CBR reservation and was able to apply it to her room. I know she isn't preferred because she was saving money and she enjoyed staying in Jamaica last time. It must be a resort by resort thing. Her reservation is early January.

I don't see this offer when I look at current offers in my disney visa account. Is there a special link to go to?

I was going to ask about this SPD deal. We're planning to do a lot of quick service meals on property. I guess I need to figure out how much we may spend per day out of pocket. It's looking like room only will be a better deal if it's 15% off Pop.

I can't do the full research until the website releases discounts Monday (see last year's results here http://www.disboards.com/threads/stay-play-dine-calculation.3339097/) HOWEVER...my rough calculation based on pricing out 4 different combinations at moderate resorts this evening has come to this:

40% OFF Dining
FULL PRICE Tickets
$13 OFF per Night

Again - I'm only seeing this for moderate resorts and the sample size is VERY small. Last year when doing the calculation I priced out 50 or more combinations of resorts, adult/kid mixes, ticket lengths, dates, etc.

BREAKING NEWS (for all of you discount nerds out there!)

I believe I have cracked the code on the SPD Discount for Moderate Resorts - here it is!

TICKETS: No Discount (no surprise there);
ROOM: $1.00 Off Rack Rate per night (no that isn't a joke!);
DINING: Adult #1 = 55% OFF Dining Plan; Person 2-5 = 45% OFF Dining Plan (regardless of adult or child).

There is no price break when changing or upgrading Tickets or when changing or upgrading the dining plan. See here for more details...http://www.disboards.com/threads/2016-stay-play-dine-calculation-thread.3451389/

If I can get motivated I'll look at how it works at values and deluxe too!

MORE BREAKING NEWS (for all of you discount nerds out there!)

First Off - huge thanks to Don @ Mousesavers for some help with this one! If you haven't visited the site - Mousesavers is one of THE BEST Disney websites out there. http://www.mousesavers.com/ - go there, you won't be disappointed!

VALUE RESORTS
TICKETS: No Discount (no surprise there);
ROOM: $1.75 Off Rack Rate per night (no that isn't a joke!); (with the hotel tax this actually comes to $1.97 per night off at POP and $1.98 off per night at All Stars)
DINING: 40% OFF Everybody.

LAST BREAKING NEWS (for all of you discount nerds out there!)

Deluxe Resorts work the same as Moderates - see below! Thread with the details is here: http://www.disboards.com/threads/2016-stay-play-dine-calculation-thread.3451389/

MODERATE & DELUXE RESORTS
TICKETS: No Discount (no surprise there);
ROOM: $1.00 Off Rack Rate per night (no that isn't a joke!); (with the hotel tax this actually comes to $1.13 per night off)
DINING: Adult #1 = 55% OFF Dining Plan; Person 2-5 = 45% OFF Dining Plan (regardless of adult or child).

That is that folks - SPD has been cracked once again! For everybody except solo travelers this years SPD is most certainly lower than last years. More people should consider the room only discount (especially if your eating habits don't jive with the dining plan and you think you would spend less!).
