Booked our package to Disney sunday morning!! We are staying 6nights/7days at Coronodo Springs!! Feb 9-15th!! CANT WAIT.... its our first Disney Visit.

That was us last year, our first visit.
Its so exciting!!! You are gonna be swept away.

We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. Just beautiful.

CSR os GREAT! make sure you walk THROUGH the Casitas at night, (not junt along the promenade, through the courtyards. there are fountains, and a rotunda, lighting, etc. it's beautiful!

I got a AAA quote for Coronado Springs - 2/17 - 2/23, park hoppers for $2381 which is $150+ less than a couple other quotes... Also, can I expect a code to come out that I can apply to this reservation if I book it? OR would this be about the most discount I can expect?

When is President's Day 2009? Feb 16? I'm thinking of going 2/20-2/23, so do you think the crowds might be down as the prez day crowds leave?

Mardi Gras is the 24th so you'll start to see the Louisiana crowd that weekend, but I don't think it's as bad as Pres. weekend. We'll be there the 22nd-28th.

We are planning POP for 2/16-2/22/09, so hopefully our rate is similar to yours. I priced it out on the Disney site and it was about $2600 with PH and DDP for 2 adults, 1 junior.

President's week is not that bad, this will be our 4th year in a row going that week and we have not had any problems with crowds, but maybe we don't know any better. Besides we are just so excited to be there, we don't really care all that much. I think the trick is to arrive later on Monday or even on Tuesday to avoid all the people who were there just for the weekend.

We are also hoping for a free upgrade like last year to PH with WP and more.

We have to go around that time every year...so my grandchildren won't miss much school. This coming February trip, they will miss two days of school...We are arriving the 19th and leaving the 23rd.

It really isn't that bad...Now, if you talk about Thanksgiving...WHEW!

I agree about the crowd levels during Prez Week - which is also Feb Break for schools in the Northeast... We were very pleasantly surprised that we were able to get on most everything we wanted without horrible waits - which is why we're going back in '09!

I did utilize Tourguide Mike's info which helped a lot!

Well I did it booked for our 1ST DISNEY TRIP . Feb 28th -March 7th hope those turn out to be good dates. Staying at POP with Dining plan.

I have touring plans by the unofficial guide for my planning has anyone tried that. Does it differ very much from tourguidemike.

We use the unofficial guide every trip we go & feel it is very accurate when it comes to rides, resorts, & restaurants. The touring plan was excellent when we used it on our 1st trip. I lent my 2008 book to my cousin to help her plan her trip. I would definitely recommend the unofficial guide.

how will the weather be for mardi gras season 2009?
we haven't booked yet. might not be possible & my kids will be heart broken as well as me ( 3 & 5 yr old). during the last 10 days: my 2003 jeep transmission went out! my wife's 2005 town & country had 300$ of work & now it looks like the transmission needs to be rebuilt! my home ac went out!
all these huge money hits are making our yearly trip looking bleaker & bleaker!

We're thinking of going 2/9-2/13 (three full days). Can someone point me to a place on the board that explains the advantages of booking with a travel agency (not AAA) over just booking with Disney yourself?

hello fellow alabamaian disser!! i'm here in mobile! we are also going mardi gras week. we have been during this week but it was earlier in feb. the weather is great!! you have to wear warmer clothes for night time but we would wear shorts with windbreakers during the day. i hope your luck get better! don't let it get you down, we all go thru things like that. keep planning your disney trip!
