Feb.13th(lucky for some) 2010 Eastern Valentines Cruise - The Love Boat Sails Again !

We stayed at OKW , we hadn't stayed there in a while and were happy to go back. We have points there and at Boardwalk, but we had stayed at Boardwalk the past few times. Our oldest son and girlfirend are going to OKW in 2 weeks, I wish I was going back!

The girls will all be about the same age- do you think they will be going to the teen club? Kelly has loved it on the past cruises, I'm hoping she won't be too old or too cool for it next year!

I am sure they will be going - maybe the girls could all go together. We have never stayed at OKW. We own at VWL, Saratoga, and Animal Kingdom. We have been staying at BCV and AKV the past few trips. OKW looks nice. Do you plan an excursions on the Magic?

I'm glad to hear that the girls will probably be going to the club - it's always easier when there are kids the same age there. Not sure what we'll do about excursions, we're beach people so we will probably just get a cab to a beach on each of the islands. We've been to both St.Maarten and St. Thomas several times, so we won't feel too big a need to sightsee. We have a local guy that we use on St.Thomas - he's great for rides to the beach, shopping and/or taking us to restaurants where locals like to eat. We've had good luck with him several times, so I'm guessing we'll be contacting our "friend" Alan as it gets closer. On St. Thomas we're thinking about going to St. John for the day, which we've never done. I wish it were sooner, but thinking about it now while it's still so miserably cold here is fun at least!

Rubbergypsy- we had ressies for this past 2/14-Magic Eastern, but had to cancel for a variety of reasons just before the final payment was due. We were on the thread for some time before we cancelled. I would guess you had a great time because you rebooked the same week.

We would also be in for fish extenders.

We booked a cat 11 on deck 7. I would be happy with an upgrade, but not disappointed if we do not get one.

This will be our second cruise. Our first was on the Magic-western March 06. It was a blast. Best vacation we ever took.

I already booked the Hyatt @ MCO for the night before the cruise with the choice voucher I bought for the last trip. Great news is that they do not expire.

Hello all! Welcome aboard!

Looks like we have several more people since I last checked the board. We have a small group - 3 rooms that consists of 6 adults and 4 kids -- 2 boys (ages 9 & 14) and 2 girls (ages 4 & 12).

I'm hoping to get into the fish extender fun, but it's all new to me, so I'll need help -- especially on the part on where to get the FE's. I don't think I'm crafty enough to make them myself, but I could try.

Dreaming of the caribbean as it snows in MI today.

Thanks for saying something about airfare. I was going to start looking in another two weeks. CO does have fares for the 12th, but we will wait another few days as we have credit with United to see what happens with that.

Did anyone see the Disney cruise special last night on the Travel Channel? I have seen it before but they did update it from that last time I watched. Can't wait! How many more days?

Is CO Continental? I looked today and their cheapest ONE WAY fare from Boston to Orlando was $399.00!! The other airlines are only selling up to February 7th or 8th today. I like to have the airfare set - then I don't worry about it. But $399.00 ONE WAY is not something I'll jump at!

Yes, it is Continental non stop. What a difference 2 days make. I just checked our flight, & it's up to $399.00 also. Thank god we booked it ASAP & got that low fare.

We have been going to Orlando President's Week for years. Trying to find airfares is the most stressful part of the trip.

If, I see a good fare, I'll post & give everyone a heads up again.

I bought airfare for our way down today. I paid $160.00 one way from Boston (ugh!) but the time was good, and I really wanted to lock in the getting-there airfare. I can be more flexible on the way back, and may even wait for Southwest or Jet Blue to open up Feb bookings. But then again, I get nervous and may not be able to hold out until they release their February fares in the summer!

Last week I purchased the Hyatt airport coupons for 2/12 & 2/20, & made the reservations for those dates.

I now need to reserve rent a car for 2/12 & 2/20 then I can finally relax

Hi all just wanted to say that I changed our cruise date to a 3 day Wonder on Feb 11. The reason is that my 2 girlfriends bought dvc (great referral $$$ for me). They plan on using the free cruise incentive from buying in and so we are all sailing together again on this shorter cruise and then doing the pres week in the world. Hope you all have a great cruise and I plan on rebooking onboard hopefully for the new ship!!!!

I spoke with HAL and asked about kids on board and she said seniors are aware of the school breaks and avoid weeks of the school breaks.
