We just booked a last minute trip due to some summer scheduling issues that bumped our summer trip out of contention, and pickings are pretty slim. Right now, we have a split stay...2 nights at AoA and four at ASMu. Both in suites. As of now, we are spending more than we are hoping to spend.

You guys are the experts. Any tips? What are my chances of getting into the mods? We are a family of five, so that's our cheapest option. POR is our favorite, but I'd be happy with either.

Thanks, Disney people!

Well, you can likely get into CBR inexpensively, but would have to put up with major construction. It's not something I would want to do, but it would probably save you money (I routinely see about $152 a night for CBR)

Just looked and it seems like pretty slim pickings for that time frame. You might be able to play around with more split stays though.

Have you considered staying at a Disney Springs hotel that they've just expanded onsite privileges to? They get the 60 day FP, and the EMH now and do have some transportation too. That would save you some money on a last minute trip.

I've been looking for a moderate or Pop/AofA to open for a few months for my dates of 02/10-02/17, and have seen NOTHING... it's been super frustrating. I've played around with split stay dates, moving our dates on either end, and nothing has worked. We're currently booked at BCV studio with a decent rate (which I'm not complaining about), but my pocketbook would prefer POR or Pop. It makes me nervous it may be more crowded than I'm anticipating.

Everyone on the boards say that Disney hotels are almost always at capacity. That alone won’t make it crowded. Locals and off-site guests determine how high the crowds are.

There is a major soccer tournament at Disney WWS and it is presidents weekend- always a busy time!

Agree with @hllb. Resort occupancy has very little affect on park crowds.

I think there's also a good amount of inventory missing which has a domino effect. POFQ starts a soft goods refurb this month, there's a whole section of CBR that's gone, Pop is under a refurb, CSR is under hard goods refurb. With all those rooms out of inventory a slightly busy weekend will look bonkers with the resort bookings
