I thought about starting a new one to see if anyone else replys, what do you think?

I have been there before, it just confuses people as to what thread to follow....

makes sense, surprises me that there is no other posters yet. We may start seeing more soon. Seems like our girls have some things in common.It will be good for her to have a friend in kids club with her. My older daughter will be in the teen loft this year, so they won't be together.

It has helped in our other cruises to have friends ahead of time to play with onboard.

Remember that the kids dont know yet that they are staying onboard for the next cruise. If your daughter dosent know.. dont tell her!

What time are you guys planning to get to the terminal? We will be there early in the AM..... usually the first up the escalator!

We live only an hour from the ports, so we leave about 9 am to get there. No Madison will not say a word. I don't think she even remembers. I know she heard me tell my husband,(and does know that it is a surprise).

We're giving this cruise to our 12yo DD for Christmas. I had originally booked for 1/18 until I realized DD has her mid-term exams that week. (Bad Mommy!! ) So we quickly switched everything to the 2/1 cruise. Thank goodness Disney and Southwest still had open spots!

We've tentatively booked excursions but may make changes once she knows she's going on this. So far we have Ardastra Gardens in Nassau (she already swam with the dolphins in Cozumel.) For Castaway Cay we have the Island Cruise and the Stingray Feeding. I may cancel the Stingrays if the weather looks like it will be too cold. I'm still researching and second guessing these choices.

My 10 y/o (she will be 11 in Dec) and Lindas 10 y/o have been emailing to each other.... that way they can have a friend the second they get onboard...

Does your daughter want to get in on that??

My DH is originally from North Carolina, southern accent and all! I'm one of those Navy kids so I'm not really "from" anywhere. I envy you being in Florida, Linda. I have a good friend at work who just told me today she's accepted a job in Sarasota.

Billinaz, I'm sure my daughter would love to get in on emailing. But I have to wait until Christmas to let her know this! On our previous cruises she hasn't really made friends with any of the kids and pretty much stayed glued by my side. I'd love for her to get to know your girls so that she would feel a little cameraderie before we board the ship. Mary turns 12 this month so she's really close in age to your girls. Don't they grow up fast???

Didn't know when I was growing up. how fortunate I was to have everything so close to where I live.but now that I am an adult(pushing 40)ha, I have come to understand that where I have lived for all of these years are a piece of heaven, minus all the overpopulation. But that is part of our times................
Yes I get sad when I think of how fast my beautiful girls have grown .We just want to cherish all of their childhood. They are both heading in the right direction, hope to keep it that way.
Yes, just let us know when you want Mary to chat with our girls(Madison and Kim). I know Madison checks her mail on a regular basis to see if Kim has wrote. But I make sure she has done her homework first.TTFN

Goodness, our thread slipped to page 3 on the boards!! I need to be more attentive. Hopefully we'll have some others join in as we get closer. Then again having only our three families on the ship would have its advantages...

Only a little over a month and I get to tell Mary where she's going and then introduce her to your girls. I'm so excited I could just burst. Her birthday is this week and I have to keep telling myself DON'T GIVE HER THE CRUISE YET because then I won't have a Christmas surprise for her. Oh the temptation!!!

and yes I'm sure it's work, Keeping a cruise from your daughter that she will be going on in about 2 months. I myself don't thing I could keep it a secret too long. I have to give you credit. You and Billinaz can keep a secret (Clearly)

DH tried Booking this cruise for my Birthday on 2/1 but was told for a Cat. 3 there was only the Handicap rooms in the back of the ship.. Have an awesome time....



we will be in a Cat 3 on 2/8 instead !!!

Soooo is everyone out shopping today for Black Friday????? Not me, I'm a retail phobic. LOL!! There's nothing I want to buy bad enough to fight the crazy crowds we get in our area. I'm more inclined to surf the net today to knock out my shopping. Have a happy post-turkey day.

We had a nice time at Magic Kingdom,the decorations were beautiful!
We had Turkey Dinner at the Dolfin. You shouldn't need to shop too much for your daughter for Christmas.ha I know if your like me, you will still buy the same as you would if those cruise tickets where not in that stocking.

Linda, what a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing that. We'll definitely use it and since she's been on the ship before she'll recognize it immediately. This is going to be so much fun surprising her. Mary is a really sweet kid. I never have a problem in the world with her. I guess it's good to enjoy that before she turns into a teen. As I recall her older brothers and sisters morphed into strange creatures for a few years as we passed through the teens. By the way, its great to hear that your special Thanksgiving went so nicely!

Speaking of special...Billinaz, spending Christmas at the GF is incredible!!! What a dream holiday for your family. I hope you all have a wonderful time.
