After staying in a really nice hotel Friday and Saturday night with plush bedding, I have decided to splurge and make our bed at home a little vacation in itself.
I ordered a featherbed topper for the bed that is baffle blocked with separately stitched squares, it is a 720 fill, and comes with a cover. I also ordered an all season feather/down comforter, because I like the idea that they are so light, and will keep us warm without being weighty when the gas bill goes up this winter.
What I'm worried about now is, will it be TOO hot this winter? I hate the idea of having this nice bedding and sweating like a pig in it, and kicking the comforter into the floor! Do I need to just use one and not the other, or will both be okay? We live in the southeast, it only gets really cold in late Dec - early February, and even then it only gets down to the 20's most of the time. I plan on keeping the thermostat around 65 at night.
