Fear of elevators and TOTWL

When you fly, poke your head in and say hi to the pilots. Sometimes a quick chat with us can allay some of your nervousness. I’m always honest as to what we can expect in terms of ride comfort etc. I think that will help.

As to TOTWL, we love it. But I have to say the hub is best for MK fireworks viewing. Just incredible. And sometimes a little crowded LOL. Good luck with the elevator. If it is a claustrophobic kind of thing you can probably ride up in a relatively empty car. Just let the CM(s) know. Down may be harder to control as it is first come first served.
I’m terrified every single time but only once did the pilot come speak with me. We were delayed and he said the ground crew was making a “temporary “ repair. The guy next to me piped up with what he means is duct tape! We were about to cross the Atlantic so I was scared. We wound up getting a different plane in the end and we paid for first which on the new plane was Delta One. Once I calmed down it was pretty cool.

I was thinking about using the TOTW lounge on our last night to see the fireworks, which also happens to be my birthday. I know my family would just love it, but I am terrified of elevators and I am not sure I could do it, but I keep thinking about it. I think it would be a spectacular end to our trip and my birthday.
Any advice, tips, encouragement?
Honestly if you want to do it then make yourself do it. My family really wanted to go to the top of the restaurant at Niagara Falls and my MIL is older so I was shaky but we did it! As other folks mentioned the view at contemporary is very nice and not scary.
