FE Ice Cream toppings

I'm really surprised to hear that people won't use post-packaged stuff. I guess I understand the concern but we're all buddy buddy with our FE group! I would never even consider one of them would poison us! I just created the cutest little packages before reading this thread and will still be sending them. We used spoons to fill little baggies and didn't touch anything, nor sneeze or cough on them!

Technically you can't even bring that on the ship though.

Only packaged food is allowed…

With Easter coming it should be easy to find small packets?

It doesn't matter how careful you were, technically that is not permitted on the ship since only pre-packaged (unopened) food is permitted.

I do think it is a great idea and I would love to receive that in my FE though.

Perhaps this is why we don't participate in FE any more. I'm not trying to make you feel bad but look at it from the recipient's side. I know you say you handled things properly (and probably did) but I don't know that for sure and while people in FE groups feel like "buddies", I really don't "know" you. And it's not that I think you are going to intentionally poison me, in a closed environment like a ship I have too many chances to catch other peoples germs, I'm not going to risk it just for some sprinkles on ice cream. So if I were to receive that baggie of toppings, it would definitely end up in our trash. I would feel terrible doing it knowing you were trying to do something nice and that you put effort into it so I would think kindly of you and thank you very much but it would end up in the trash nonetheless. We also have food allergies and dietary restrictions to worry about (which I'm sure you asked about nut allergies and maybe some of the other big ones) but again not risks worth taking especially if it is a lesser known allergy (like ours is) and packaging wasn't there.
