We generally go during FD in late August, but I couldn't resist the pay for 4 and get 3 nights free. Has anyone done the math to see which will be a better deal? There are rumors about FD being offered again. HELP...if I call to switch again I think WDW reservations will disconnect me.:confused3

I think it really depends on where you stay. For deluxes I think 4/3 is better but for value's FD is better.

:thumbsup2 I totally agree. Also, take into account how many "free diners" you have -- I think it's a better deal for a larger family, especially if the kids are "adults" when it comes to dining.

For us, we want to stay at a deluxe and the 4/3 is a much, much better deal.;)

We are a family of 6 and we usually get two connecting rooms at a value resort for 9 nights with 8 day hoppers. The 4/3 deal saves us about $750.00 and free dining saves us about $1,600.00. There is no better discount for us than free dining.

As others have said, it depends on where you stay. Staying at a deluxe will get you about 43% off with the 4/3 deal :thumbsup2. We are booked at the GF for the end of July (value season) and out of curiosity I compared that to free dining and free dining for us actually came out to a small difference of $66 more total than the 4/3 deal . The resort, room type, tickets, etc was the same for both. We have 2 teen boys so we're actually paying for 4 adult tickets as well as 4 adult DDPs. If you have a price for the 4/3 deal, it's very easy to get a price for free dining. Just go to the Disney website and put in your dates & tickets but don't add dining......that should be your price with free dining....then compare the two and see how it comes out :). Another factor would be how many (if any) kids you have.....sometimes free dining comes out to be the better deal is you've got alot of kids .

we are a family of 3 and we are going for 11 nights. The 4/3 deal only saves us $300 in the value versus $1000 getting free dining

As a family of 6 I think we may also opt for free dining. Will have to do the math though, because we want to go deluxe in August. :yay:

well, we're going in May on the 4/3 deal and in September on FD bounceback. We did have both booked at Value, and the September trip was several hundred dollars less (like $1700 for 4/3 deal and $1300 for FD deal) This was for 2 adults, Value resort, regular dining plan, 7 day hoppers.

I still want to eat all the meals that I would get with free dining so the 4 for 3 deal in the middle of August with the dining plan added at AKL would cost more for 2 adults and 1 child than free dining the end of August. I would be able to save money if I cut back on the food but that is one of our favorite parts of the vacation.

We are planning for our trip on December at this moment, I think 4/3 is a great deal for us but I'm still calculating to get some good discounts. :rotfl:

Have a nice and safe trip for those having a trip. :)
