I'm sure its been addressed before, but here goes....
Is it possible to book a FD package and then upgrade to an AP after arrival and not lose FD? If so, could someone explain to me exactly how to proceed? Use tix one day, then upgrade or upgrade at end of trip, upgrade before using tix? I've seen several different answers and am nervous about trying this and messing up! We have never had AP before, but were considering purchasing them for Christmas. With the FD offer, it makes more sense to do it for fall, if you can upgrade without losing the FD in the process.

You can upgrade anytime up to 14 days after first use. So it's up to you when. Question does your ticket have park hopping? If not I'd upgrade on first day. Also with an AP you get discounts on merchandise and some dining. I'd upgrade once in the park before leaving. Not first thing in the morning because lines for guest services are longer. Good luck and you'll love Your AP. Just 10% off merchandise is great!! Make sure to view all benefits so you know where to get the discounts...my fav is Basin. I live an hour away had to take mom to MCO, made a quick DTD stop, Basin, made to order caramel apple at Goofy for DD (jelly bellys for me) and couple of pins. Got 10% off everything.
