FD split-stay question

I'm sure this has been asked, but I can't seem to find the quick answer...

If you do the FD deal and check in on the 28th, but have a room-only reservation for a couple of days before that, can you get your tickets that go along with the FD package when you check in for your room-only reservation, or do you have to wait to get your tickets with the package? We'll have 6-day tickets and a total of 7 nights, so I'd like to use a day of the tickets the day before our package starts.

I don't think you can get your tickets early since they will be linked to your FD ressie. Could you change your plans and do your room only after your FD ressie? We did this a couple of years ago, stayed 10 nights at POFQ with FD and then moved to CR for 2 nights with a room only discount and were able to continue using the tickets since we hadn't went to the parks every day of our stay at POFQ.

You can pick up your tickets up to 3 days before you check in. Go to Guest Relations outside of any park with your reservation info and they can issue you the tickets.
