I have a friend that I really don't talk to on FB. I noticed today is the friend's birthday so I clicked on friend's name to wish them a happy birthday but I see no "wall". I see "information" and "pictures" and they are listed in my friend group so why no "wall"?:confused3

I have one friend who doesn't allow others to post on his wall. So maybe there is an option to have no wall at all. I haven't looked for such a setting, so I don't know. :confused3

There is an optin to have no wall. It is something the user decides in preferences.

I have a couple that are the same way, and was never sure why either.

I have a friend with the same thing - no wall. I thought it was weird. She actually told me that she only has the wall open to her boyfriend. Or, maybe it's just blocked from me. :lmao:

If you can not see the "wall" at all then most likely they have disabled the option where all Friends can post on wall.

If you can see the "wall" but there is no option to leave comments they they have specifically disable you from being able to post there.

OK, thanks I thought it was just me and couldn't understand why since we never really talk to each other. Thank you!

Some poeple keep their wall open to only select friends, it keeps it less cluttered with everyone's games, and posts, etc.
I have a co-worker whose birthday is also today (coincidentally) shes a lot younger than I am, 20 today to my 38, so we're really not friends- but we like each other enough to be friends on FB.
Rather than worry about not having a wall to post on, I just sent her a birthday message privately.

I did the same thing to this friend, I'm old enough to be a parent to this friend.

Your friend may have a wall, but you are blocked from seeing her status updates, etc. :)

That's not true. I have a few people blocked from my wall. When they look at my page, they do not see a "wall" tab. There's really no way of knowing if the OP's friend has blocked only her from the wall or simply doesn't have a wall.

This is a good way to be friends with someone without having them be all up in your business.

I stand corrected. I went back & found the option where you can single one person out to not see a wall at all.

You can either uncheck the box that allows friends to post on your wall or you can exclude a specific person from commenting on things you've posted. I thought with the 2nd option they would still see the wall but not have a comment box. When I went back & tested it, you couldnt see the wall at all. I'm so very sorry that I did made a mistake :worship:

The first option is obvious about the "wall" and the 2nd option does not specifically say wall options, just "posts by me"

My brother has his set where no one can post on his wall, except to comment on his wall posts. I didn't know you could do that until he told me about it. He doesn't like others posting things on his wall unless he starts the conversation, I guess.

She blocked you, are you a coworker? I block most of my coworkers form seeing my wall.
