Fax resort for special requests?

I heard that you can fax the resort a few days before we leave with special requests (ie. views, ect.) Has anyone had any success doing this when you are part of a cruise package? We are in a cat.4 in December and upgraded to the GF. If this is a possibility, does anyone have the fax # for the GF? Thanks for any info, I really want our trip to be perfectly magical!
