Was there anything you enjoyed as a kid, that you still occasionally induge in? :)

I used to like fresh white bread, with a very light coating of butter, topped with molasses....yum! Once in a while I'll have it, and it still tastes...yum! :)

Peanut butter and Miracle Whip sandwiches. :teeth:

(Miracle Whip goes better with PB than mayo.)

Chocolate covered apple pieces or jelly bread

I loved chicken pot pies! But I haven't had one for a long time and I'm not even sure if I'd still like them. Another big favorite was Cocoa Krispies and once in a while I'll find this one on a hotel's buffet and I'll indulge. I also loved just bread particularly if it was chewy like Sunbeam. Kids!

2 things I really liked when I was a kid, that aren't around anymore...

peanut butter poptarts, and
pink colored popcorn

oh, and pizza pick-up sticks.

lol, I'm thinking here, why does everything on my list begin with "P" ?? lol :teeth:

banana pudding with 'nilla wafers...sooo good!!!

Grilled Jelly Sandwich. (Think grilled cheese, but with Grape Jelly) Yummy yum yum!!!!!!!

An open faced pumpernickel bread sandwich of sliced olives with cream cheese …lightly dusted with pepper..

LOL Charlie,nj...you had quite the sophisticated palate, for a kid!! :teeth:

Never heard of PB and Miracle Whip sandwiches....hmmm...I'll take your word for it that they were yummy, ***********! :)

Isn't pink popcorn still around? In a box with a picture of an elephant on the front?

:)

I loved Peanut butter and banana sandwiches

pan fried frog legs......

creamed corn fritters.....

hornpout fried in cornmeal........OH I NEED SOME......

pigs feet........

and fried guilettes........which I still do when I am not worried about sitting down and almost eating the equivalant of a whole loaf of bread.........

I haven't had pigs feet since I left home, Pumba, and I think I'll keep it that way!! :p ;) :)

PB and banana sandwiches are still a favourite, but what is hornpout?

:)

is the equivalent to a cat fish.....only these are native to these ponds and lakes......but they are the sweetest tasting fish around

Banana, Hershey Chocolate Syrup and Cool Whip, no ice cream. :teeth: Still do it every once in awhile, but it's with fat free Cool Whip now. :p

I loved to take 2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese and sandwich a butter chip pickle or gherkin inbetween them. I still do that every once in awhile, especially in the summer at picnics. :o :teeth:

White bread, american cheese and Golden's Spicy Mustard! That's good every once in awhile, but now it's no bread and Slender American cheese. :p

I used to eat sandwiches made with white bread, a little bit of butter and lettuce. That was it. Now -- yuck! :p I don't know, maybe I'll try it again one day this summer to see if it really is yucky or not. :p

But -- I want what Charlie used to have, right now! Yum! That sounds so good!

Homemade chips is my sometime indulgence that I enjoyed as a kid and still enjoy now.:)

Heather, my mom and I used to make buckeyes all the time. We never knew what they were called until a couple of years ago. We always called them peanut butter balls.:teeth:

when i was a kid we moved to Georgia and stayed with some friends for the summer....

picture it....
6 kids 4 adults and a baby (Julie_Yet)
money was tight.... and everyday for that whole summer all the kids ate peanut butter and honey sandwhichs for lunch....

i don't think i could eat one for about 10 years..... but now everytime i eat one i have the most awesome memories.....

My Grandma used to make me tea and toast. The tea was very weak, lukewarm and had lots of milk and sugar. She put grape jelly on the toast, cut the slice in half, and then folded the halves into ‘sandwiches.’ I try to make them sometimes when I’m sick or sad, but they don’t taste as good as Grandma’s.
