We're thinking about taking a stroll around the World Showcase in Epcot and trying one item from each counter service. What are some of your favorites items from the different countries? We are headed back on the 27th.

I like the sweet pretzel with almonds from the bakery at Norway.

A surprise on our last trip was the Hot Dog in Germany. I was not looking forward to this, but DH and DS wanted to eat here. I had mine without the sauerkraut (?Sp), and it was delicious.
I also had the Fish & Chips in the UK for the first time and they were very good.
We love everything at the Tangerine Cafe, but for just a snack, the Baklava is very good.
Have a Great Trip

Cantina de San Angel
Mexico - World Showcase - Epcot
Counter Service

Tacos al Carbon - flour tortillas filled with grilled chicken, onions and peppers, served with black refried beans and Mexican salsa $7.95

This is DH place to snack...we usually skip Mexico because the food is so gross and the chicken is dark thigh meat, YUCK! In Norway we love Rice Cream and School Bread, in China we have to make a stop at the Tea Stand and get peach oolong and mango green tea with Schnapps YUMMY! China also has great shrimp fried rice and egg rolls. In Germany we grab a brat and kraut and a beer, France is a stop at the bakery for any of the many great treats, England has fantastic fish and chips, Morocco has great olive salad, saffron rice and meatballs (I know weird but they are great!) We skip Japan because they use dark thigh meat in their dishes too.

At Tangerine Cafe, I love the vegetarian plate. Then for dessert, I love to go to Boulangerie Pasterie in France for a peach tart.

My DD20 and I always "eat our way around the world" in the World Showcase. We get one thing from each CS and share that. Depending on our mood or appetites that day, we may skip a few, but never the Chinese place or the fish and chips place in the UK.

I'd like your suggestions. We are a group of 10, 5 adults and 5 kids. Kids will eat at Mc. D's before we start, but adults would like to eat around the world and share. We would have 5 snacks and 5 CS to share all together. We are also willing to pay OOP as well for some.

DH and I loved the lamb shawarma platter from Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. :cloud9: Also, the orange chicken from the Lotus Blossom Cafe was pretty good.

Anything from Boulangerie Patisserie in France. Also, anything from Tangieriene Café in Morocco, especially their baklava. :)

The cheese plate from the bakery in France is my absolute fave WS food. Each time I try to hold off and get a crepe instead but I just can't pass it up.

Other things we've tried:

Fish and chips in UK
Nachos in Mexico (really gross, wouldn't recommend)
Platters in Morocco (all yummy)
Pretzel and beer in Germany
Pastry in Norway (I was disappointed in schoolbread so I would try something else next time)
Funnel cake in USA
Peach schnapps tea in China is incredible. Also like the eggrolls there.
Kaki gori in Japan (shaved ice) or I pick up candy in the shop
