Looking for dinner ideas for a 100-day countdown celebration party! Anyone have any easy dinners they make that recreate something from the parks??? Preferably kid-friendly. :)

I bought my sister a Mickey waffle iron for Christmas last year. We visited her, my BIL and niece this weekend and she made Mickey waffles for breakfast. So fun and delicious!

Sometimes we make Mickey shaped rice krispie treats at home.

I'll be interested to see what recipes get posted here - I'd love to make Disney meals at home.

I've been cooking Tonga Toast at home since the '80's. Originally from one of the earliest WDW Cookbooks (still have it), but it's gotten more authentic over the years.

I make Mickey-shaped pancakes from my son often enough as well.

Every now and them I'll crack open that same WDW cookbook and try something, usually stuff they don't serve anymore.

I think I have that same cookbook! Most of the recipes aren't even being served anymore, but some of my favorites that I make all the time are clam corn chowder from Land Grille Room, beef and barley soup from King Stefan's Banquet Hall (now CRT), and bangers and mash and cottage pie from Rose and Crown. Just love that cookbook!

The Cheddar Cheese Soup from Canada and the Fisherman's Pie from Ireland, both Food & Wine Festival offerings.

As others have mentioned, my family's most common "re-creations" are the Macadamia-Pineapple Pancakes from Kona and Mickey Waffles (although, I haven't been able to find a waffle iron that makes the same sized Mickey waffles as WDW). For dinners, I've made the Cheddar Cheese Soup (from Le Cellier), Cottage Pie (from Rose & Crown), and the Jaffa Dunbrody Kiss (from Raglan Road).

The last few years we started a tradition of making Tonga Toast with the Strawberry compote on Christmas morning. It reminds us of Disney and the Hawaiian feel of the Polynesian during the cold of December in the northeast. Its also a good time to do it because it scratches that six month itch in between our annual summer Disney trips.

Gratin de Macaroni from Chefs de France. Potato Leek Soup from BOG. Sometimes we make strawberry soup from 1900 Park Fare. Peanut butter brownies that kinda sorta fill in for the ones at the Mara. One day I want to try to make pap chakalaka from Boma and Ohana's pineapple bread. Our ADR is coming up in a few days. I plan to make some Disney dishes for ADR eve and ADR day so we can - hopefully - celebrate. Or perhaps cry into our WDW comfort food if we can't snag the reservations we want.

I might have to borrow this tradition! That sounds like a great Christmas morning.

The Coconut Curried Chicken Soup from Boma is incredible and we have made it several times. Occasionally we will thicken it and put it over Jasmine rice or Thai noodles.

We do the cheese soup from Le Cellier frequently in the cooler months. Also the loaded brownie thing from POR food court - why am I blanking on the name of that right now lol! And I've always made mickey pancakes for my kids as well.

Yes, I want to make this so bad! But my kids definitely won't eat it. That will have to be for a "mommy and daddy" dinner night!
