Hi! I haven't seen another thread like this, so I'll try it out. All you have to do is say what your favorite WDW hotel/resort is and why you like it. You can also comment on other peoples faves and give tips and/or advice about a hotel someone is going to stay at.

So, I'll start. When I was little I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. I was little so I don't remember too much about it, but I do remember that I loved it! That is the only time I've been to Disney though. I am going to stay at the Polynesian this year and I've heard very good things about it and I'm so excited!!!:cool1: Any tips/thoughts about it?

I think I've heard of that one. It's the one that's kind of like a rock star/hollywood themed one, right? Or am I thinking of a different one?

It's one of the value hotels. There's All Star Movies, All Star Music, Pop Century, and All Star Sports. I love All Star Movies too though. It's themed as like the 60's, 70's, 80's, etc.

All Star Movies: Different Disney movies.

I've stayed there twice, once in the dalmation section shown.

It took us probably 10 minutes it seemed to get to DHS. It wasn't very long ride to any of the parks. Less then 30 minutes I think, but maybe it just seemed shorter. Number 19 star on that map

Oh, yeah it is a good location. A bit far from MK but otherwise, good.

Polynesian!
Great Location
MK monorail
short walk to the T&TC
AMAZING theme
Beautiful all around
To-die-for beaches
You actually feel like you're in HAWAII and at WDW at the same time!

We'll be staying at the Grand Floridian sometime in the next year and I am TOTALLY excited to be staying there- it is SOOOO beautiful!

Animal Kingdom Lodge
+ Beautiful Hotel!
+ Savannah View is pretty cool.
+ Nice pool.
+ Good food.

- Expensive.
- Walk to room can be long.
- Exotic food. (If you don't have a taste for foreign food, this place might not be your style to eat at...)

All-Star Movies/Music
+ Great Themeing.
+ LOVE the pools.
+ Good Food.
+ Inexpensive!

Tie between A LOT:

Port Orleans French Quarter- I've stayed here
pretty much the smallest resort, but very very pretty <3

Boardwalk
I'm in love with this place, I wish we stayed here

AKL

WL

Poly
My parents said if we ever go back, they wanna stay here

Grand Floridian- I've stayed here
Beautiful... absolutely beautiful.

Boardwalk, by far. My family nearly always stays there. I love everything that is on the boardwalk from ESPN Club for dinner one night to pizza from the walk up counter on way our way back to our room at night to the bakery in the morning. Plus I love how close it is to DHS and EPCOT. Oh and the other resorts right there are ones we love too: Swan and Dolphin and Yacht and Beach. We always eat at Cape May once on a trip.
Swan and Dolphin is my second favorite resorts. I love how close they are to DHS and EPCOT as well as the other resorts, like the Boardwalk. I also love Beaches and Cream after a day at the park. =)

The Swan and Dolphin are sooo pretty, it's too bad they aren't Disney owned. They're just on Disney property. I would love to see what things Disney would add to them if they were Disney owned.

I'm adding onto mine:
AKL!
We walked through it once on our way to dinner at Boma and it was SO cool! I loved it! And it made it even cooler because we had just learned about Africa in Social Studies-Geography&History in school!

pop century and akl are the only resorts with a dedicated bus line, which makes their ride/wait times much shorter than they otherwise would be.

My favourite resort that I've stayed at is Pop Century. I love the theming, it's inexpensive, the food is good. :)

My 'dream' resort is either AKL or Boardwalk.

I know. I wish they were. I love them. They feel like a Disney resort to me. Hahah =)

AKL is amazing as well. My mom and I did a self guided hotel tour last trip and stopped there. Loved it. I don't think I could ever stay there though, its a little far from everything...

We always drive to disney, so we don't use the bus system.

I've always wanted to stay at AKL though. I sometimes go and plan a dream vacation on the website and always end up picking AKL. lol.
