We're planning on visiting a water park for the first time this April with 3 teenage girls: 18, 17 and 13. Since I have zero experience with them I'm wondering if people have a favorite of the two? I realize I may get a 50-50 split here but I'd also like to hear opinions of why people like one best.

Also, I don't know how to swim, so aside from the lazy river type attractions that circle both parks are there any attractions that a non-swimmer would feel comfortable with? (I'm fully prepared to veg out on a beach chair with a book for most of the day.)

Thanks! :sunny:

My personal favorite is Typhoon Lagoon because I am from northern PA, and I hate snow. It is so hard to enjoy a waterpark when all you see is fake snow everywhere. However, my kids love BB better because it has more slides. For a non-swimmer, the wave pool at BB is better, not as wild. The one at TL has a certain time where it produces 6 foot waves.

Blizzard beach has more 'thrill' slides than typhoon lagoon does, so the girls may enjoy that more. Both parks have raft type rides where you barely have to be in the water, you will get wet, but are never really in much water. Also, there is really very little swimming that you need to do, even on the slides. You may go under the water, but you can stand up fairly easily. And there are cm's in the water where you are who will help you stand up if you need it.
