Favorite walking shoes that are supportive?

For me the most important thing was a light breathable sneaker - two in different styles are best - paired with moisture wicking socks - my favorites are the ones with the arch support bands built in to them, then I'm not just relying on my shoes for support. I wear a pair of Asics and a pair of Sketchers go-walks with gogo mats.

I have to thank you so much for this suggestion! I recently starting walking a lot. 30 min on my lunch break and hiking on the weekends. My feet having been feeling like I have one big bruise on the bottom of my foot. I've tried all my different shoes with no luck so I stopped by the store to try on the ones you mentioned. They are wonderful! I got last year's style so they were $50 off. These are now my new walking shoes and worth every penny! I will definitely be wearing these to Disneyland! I'm thinking of getting a second pair.

Oh my goodness...This is absolutely WONDERFUL news!! I am so glad to have helped in your finding of a comfortable and supportive shoe! And that discount... Amazing! Enjoy your shoes :)

I wear Brooks brand (spendy) on the suggestion of a local specialty shoe store a couple of years ago-they are very stable, with a thick sole, I have very flat feet, and need a lot of ankle support. I also have wide feet/bunions. They are a bit on the heavy & clunky side, I'd love to find some that are stable but not as heavy. They do work good, however!

on a few different threads i read about peoples love of chacos in the parks. i then went to amazon and read reviews on them, which were also great. i decided to go ahead and buy a pair (most expensive shoes ive ever owned..and they are just sandals lol)

well i was wondering..people who swear by them...how long did it take to break them in or even just have your feet get used to them? do they actually get broken in? I dont find them terrible..but at this point i dont see being able to walk around all day in them!

ive got 6 months before we are headed to DL so ive got some time with them. any feedback about this is great, thanks in advance!

I own 2 pairs, unfortunately, I didn't buy them new, my sister gave them me, she said they were too hard for her feet, I really like them, but my feet do start to hurt after a while, so I normally change them out for something else in the evening (tennis shoes)...I usually use them in Disney, since here in AK we don't get too many hot days, so that's probably why I wouldn't use them as much as someone who lives in AZ or something. :)
