Favorite Value Resort?

My parents stayed in the Little Mermaid section of AoA and event though it wasn't that far, it was far enough that I feel like it takes some of the "value" away from the rooms. With Pop you can get pretty close to food & busing without upgrades.

Yes, that is a good way of putting it, especially since the AofA rooms cost more then Pop rooms and rarely offer a discount.

We love Pop!!! One thing to think of though is FD is usually offered during the times you plan on going. If it is, I would stay at a moderate because you will get the regular dining plan instead of the quick service one.

I've been trying to figure out how scoring FD is possible...

Would it be listed on Disney's website with the other special offers?

What if I book and then it shows up after I book? Can I still get it?

I believe the free dining offer may have already of expired. Go to the WDW homepage and scroll down to the bottom. There is a wrapped present icon that says special offers. Check there.

This year's FD promotion came out on April 27th. You can book a vacation ahead of time and then call when/if the promotion comes out in 2016 and see if there is any availability. We usually stay at Pop, but it made more sense to go up to a moderate for our trip this year so we would get the regular dining plan.

Sports, we used to like POP... it's just not worth the few extra dollars a night. Sports is small and easy to get everywhere quickly. We have stayed at all the values except AoA.

We were just at Sports. My DGD (12) didn't like it at all, and she plays sports. She said it didn't seem like Disney to her. We really like Pop, but just thought we'd try something different. Actually, my DD and I didn't like it either. The rooms seemed so old and dreary. I expected sports teams there, but the kids were running around going from one room to another, slamming doors. After two nights we upgraded to POFQ. What a difference. So much more relaxed and peaceful. All the chaos was gone. We tried to change to Pop, but no rooms were available.
