I posted this in the main Disney Restaurants forum as well, but thought I would throw out the same question here since I'm sure many of you on DDP have run into a similar situation.

We will have an extra TS (extra CS and Snack as well) with our DDP in November (Thankgiving week) trip this year because we will be arriving very late on our first day. We live just north of Atlanta and drive, so we thought we would use our extra TS for a nice "fancy" sit down breakfast on check out day before we hit the highway to head home. Normally we don't eat big breakfasts so we usually use our snack for breakfast, but we thought since we have a long drive we would get a big breakfast and one final bit of magic before we leave (normally we just check out and head on home, stopping for breakfast outside of Disney)

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for your favorite TS Breakfast OUTSIDE of any of the parks (Don't have park tickets for "checkout day"). To help, my DW and DD like "fancy" and I like a REALLY GOOD buffet.

Also, maybe someone can help answer this question as well ... We drive our own car and will be parking (POFQ) and leaving it there for the duration, I HATE driving while at Disney, love the Disney transportation, anyway, if I have a parking pass for parking at POFQ and want to eat breakfast at one of the other resorts on our "check out day", can I park at another resort with my POFQ parking pass?

Personally I like Kona Cafe for breakfast. The ambiance of the Polynesian is wonderful and casual yet upscale. if you're lucky you can get a table near the pastry area. :thumbsup2 I recommend the Macadamia Nut Pineapple pancakes and a pressed pot of 100% Kona Coffee.

And at the Polynesian you can get a 3 hour parking pass to dine at Kona. Just tell the CM at the guard shack that you have reservations at Kona and he'll give you parking pass--no problem.

I really like Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's a nice opportunity to see the animals and stuff too. I also really enjoyed 1900 Park Fare with the character breakfast. It's in the Grand Floridian so that's fancy, its a gorgeous hotel along with a buffet and the magic of a few characters. Both of these are buffet.

For breakfast we like Kona cafe and Ohana (character meal) at the Poly. Also Boma has a really good breakfast buffet.

You can drive to any of the resorts and park for up to 3 hours. You just tell the guard you have breakfast at such and such restaurant. If you go to one of the resorts inside MK area just go to the far right gate guard that is for MK resort. Tell them you which resort you have breakfast at and they'll let you through.

1900 Park Fare is a Signature Restaurant (2 TS credits) ... but that is for Dinner only correct?

1900 Park Fare is not a signature restaurant. It's 1 TS credit for breakfast or dinner.

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club, would have to be one of our favorite breakfasts, followed closely by Chef Mickey's.:thumbsup2

More votes for Kona Cafe and Boma. Both are excellent in my opinion!

Our favorite for breakfast is Kona Cafe. Spoodles is also great for breakfast.

We haven't eaten a lot of breakfasts out at Disney simply because we prefer to save money on that meal. But, both trips that we've taken we've eaten breakfast at Boma. It is soooooooooo good! :) Very good quality.

Like someone mentioned, it's also a lot of fun to hang out at AKL. My TR talks about the things we did our morning there.

Hands down ours was Ohana. Great food! Wonderful service. And Stitch...nothing more to say.

Another vote for Ohana. We had friendly and efficient service, and the food was great. We will definitely return!

We liked Chef Mickey's, but it looks like from the posts above that I need to try Ohna's and Kona too.

Ohhh I'm so glad I'm having the dining plan this year.

I love the Kona Cafe. I especially love the Tonga Toast! Yum! I am also a huge fan of Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. Whereever you choose to go you can ask for a visitor pass and park your car in their lot.
