Hello,

I used the search for anything interesting/must see/must try/must eats for each of the countries, but to no avail. Can anyone help me out. What are Diser's secret favorites. I am not impressed with seeing the films in Canada or France but if Diser's recommend so, then I will consider.

Looking forward to Mexico, Norway -- of course the new water ride, and seeing the USA aninamontrics history show!!!

There's a lot of food and drink as you go around the WS. From little snacks to full table service meals. You should certainly have a meal or 2 or at least a meal and some snacks in WS.

Movies- France is the only one you can sit down to. China and Canada you have to stand. Canada movie is pretty good- Martin Short is pretty funny but you do have to stand. I find sometimes France arrives at a time when I want to sit down in the AC for a while so I'll watch that one more than the others.

Also- there are many bands, jugglers, mimes and entertainers in the various countries that really add to the experience IMO.

The last thing is the shopping and you will find different and unique things in the shops that you won't see at the typical gift shops.

We actually thought the Canadian show was pretty cool! We tried it last year for the first time. Haven't done France's. And America's is awesome :)
We really liked exploring France - the bakery has a ton of good eats and the ice cream shop has really good sorbet!

We barely scratched the surface of World Showcase the last time I was there, but some of my favorites:

- A lovely shot of Limoncello sipped on a stone bench in Italy
- Very good escargot at Chefs de France
- just the smell inside Karamell Kuche was happy-making, but the caramel corn was divine.

This time, we have an entire day open for wandering around World Showcase during Flower & Garden. On my must-do list:

- Pick-a-pearl in Japan
- Kakigori (Japanese shaved ice)
- The movie in France
- brioche ice cream sandwich OR macaron ice cream sandwich in Artisans Des Glaces
- Gran Fiesta Tour in Mexico (The Three Caballeros is one of my all time favorite movies.)

Even if you don't eat at QS in Japan, wonder around the gardens behind it. They are very peaceful and quiet. There is also a great garden in China with benches scattered around, another nice quiet spot. Go into the tile room in Morocco. Beautiful tile work and a cute little fountain, also don't skip the museum there. Go to LaCava in Mexico if you are a tequila fan, warning, it can be very hard to get a table there so we've found if you go at odd times like 3 pm it's a little easier. I can't recommend too much in Norway, Stave Church used to have a great exhibit on vikings but they've put a Frozen themed exhibit in there now, the actual building is worth a short stop though. Look up from the courtyard in Italy, there is great detail on the tops of the buildings. If you are into wine tasting, Germany, Italy and France all offer them in their shops and there is a really great wine bar in Italy. Go in the caramel shop in Germany even if it's just to smell the place. Get some ice cream in France, to die for, they also have a nice little garden to wander through. Stroll through the tea garden in England and go back behind the shops where the concerts are held, even if they aren't having one it's still a nice place to sit and eat your fish and chips. Canada also has a great garden to stroll through (can you tell I like gardens). Get a beer in Germany and in Canada. Try to see the drummers in Japan and the acrobats in China.

I want to do pick-a-pearl with my daughters on our next trip. Is there something similar, even in another country that I could do with my son?

Thanks for the great tips, everyone! Most of our Day 2 at Epcot will be spent in World Showcase, so this thread is very helpful!

One of my favorite things to do is catch the British Revolution in the UK. Love that back garden area - always some good tunes. :thumbsup2

Tequila/Margarita Bar in Mexico

Consider if you want to make a dinner reservation in Epcot or nibble around the world

Do the Phineas & Ferb game, it really gets you into all the nooks and crannies of the country and it's so fun to see the hidden animatronics come alive.
