Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm planning on my first solo trip next year around marathon weekend. :woohoo::woohoo::cool1::woohoo::woohoo:

I'm curious, what is everyones favorite thing to do on a solo trip? Anything not too expensive would be great, but any advice would be helpful. TIA! :woohoo:

I have not been solo yet but after i go in about 10 days I will let you know :)

I am not a solo pro, but when I do go solo I don't really do anything that costs extra. So none of it is too expensive for me! I do stuff like ride my favorite rides more than I would have with other people, or find my favorite spots and hang out there (like the fountain of nations in Epcot). I also skip rides/places I dislike that I would have had to do otherwise (Stitch in MK, or all of Animal Kingdom). For me it's just more of a "go at my pace/do what I want/eat where I want" kind of thing.

Have a fun trip!

the lease expensive thing to do at the world don't buy the park hopper option one park one day i like to park hop. the food at cs is the lease expensive if you eat at a signature restaurant or character your going to pay allot more

I love to leisurely saunter back to my room in the morning with my morning mug of tea, enjoying the grounds, and smiling to myself that I am not one of the tired, haggard parents (or grandparent) trying to get kids to breakfast or the parks!! At least not that trip! :) Take time to stop and smell the roses!! It's free!!

I love doing the backstage tours. Some are rather expensive, others are more afordable depending on your budget (I think Keys to the Kingdom wasn't too bad pricewise).
The other things I love are browsing the shops at DTD and World Showcase. My favorite thing is to end a day at MK by waiting around after Wishes for the Kiss Goodnight and then be able to enjoy a walk down Mainstreet when the crowd has thinned out.

Free of Charge: I like to <visit> the deluxe resorts during the heat of the day near the park I'm in that day B4 heading back to my home resort (POFQ) for a break and poke around...each one is unique and interesting in their own way.

*If I'm staying at deluxe resort, I like getting up and making coffee in the morning, and not feeling rushed to go anywhere. I'll just sit on the porch and take in being at Disney.
*I love night EMH, and will stay at the park until it closes. It's just a magical time to be in the parks.
*I wander A LOT. Again, I don't feel rushed to do anything/everything, so it's great just being able to be there and have no real commitments.
*I don't do ADRs. If I feel like having a sit-down meal, I almost never have a problem walking up and being seated. But it's rare that I feel like having a sit-down meal while being solo.

Other than that, I'd echo DisneylandForever's post. The whole thing is to have fun doing what YOU do! :)

Those are all really great ideas! Just reading some trip reports theres a lot of things I never knew existed. I'm stoked!
