I am planning an 8 night trip on the gold plan and I was just wondering what everyone's favorite "splurge" restaurants were? This will be my first trip ever to WDW. I read the boards obsessively and I'd really just appreciate suggestions or advice. Thanks!:Pinkbounc :bounce:
I can hardly wait!

I love Dole Whips. They are soft serve ice cream in pineapple, orange, vanillak, and swirl (you can get this near PotC in MK). I know lots of people love the Beaver Tails (a flaky pastry) at Canada in WS. My parents have always insisted since we were much younger on getting Fudge in the Candy Store in DTD, and now they also insist on Ghirdelli's ice cream. Also I would suggest getting the Tonga Toast at the Poly (it's banana stuffed french toast and extrememly good!) Also for breakfast you have to get a mickey pancake or waffle, and some places have this vanilla sauce that is to die for that you can put on your waffles! YUm!!!

We usually do a real big one at Fulton's every year.........We love it there..............AAAAAaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! The king crab claws with 6 or 8 glasses of wine, desert, cordials, coffee..............the whole 6 and 1/2 yards................

Pricey.........YES................ but Oh so good....................

I've read that it is Hot and Cold as far as food and service goes at Fulton's but we've never had a bad experience..........

 ---after 6 or 8 glasses of wine..........
:hyper: ---after the double espresso with sambuca.............

We use the Silver Plan and last trip did lots of splurging at restaraunts. We racked up a $200 bill (two of us) at Fulton's and over $100 at Planet Hollywood. This trip we will be splurging at Fulton's, Narcoosee's and Portobello. Happy Eating!

AHH I'm sorry I completely read your question wrong. I took splurges to mean yummy fatty treats. As for expensive restaurants, I would say Narcoossees (during WISHES) or California Grill (During WISHES), I love Fultons, I like Coral Reef, truely enjoy Cinderella's Royal Table, used to love the Brown Derby (but I havent been there in a while).

If you don't mind me asking I was wondering what you are entitled to on your plan? When I was much younger we used to go on a dining plan and we could eat anywhere on property, rack up as big of a bill as we would like, 3 times a day. Thank god I was just a small child at the time or I would have come home weighing in at 700 lbs!

My favorite splurge spots are Jiko, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Chefs de France.

Did I miss it? I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned ... Victoria and Alberts, of course! This was our biggest splurge of, um, the decade! We loved it though!

No it wasnt mentioned but that's bc its not included in plans...that is the one thing about plans i was aware of. In the olden days they used to include The Empress Lily which was similar to Victoria and Alberts and V&A but then they wisened up!

The platinum plan does include V&A (without the wine pairings) We'll be there on the Nov 10th to celebrate DH birthday. YAY.

Our favorite splurges are:
Jiko
California Grill
Wolfgang Puck's
Alfredos

Fulton's is always are main splurge. We then alternate each night. So the next night we'll eat at a more moderately priced restaurant like Spoodles and then the next evening Yaghtsman Steakhouse, etc.
