My ds(8) and I have really been saving our money for souvies for upcoming trip! :cheer2: What are your favorite souvineers from each park?? I have heard a lot about the pearls from Japan at Epcot and already have that on my list--- Any other suggestions?? We usually don't splurge on them, been saving awhile! :Pinkbounc Would love some suggestions to get us in the shopping mood!

Mine are the pictures they take in front of the park "landmarks". Tree in AK, castle in MK etc. I put those in our budge every time. We also like to get some type of shirt or sweatshirt with the year.

We didn't buy any souvies this trip, except for DS' Buzz light spinner thing (I'm SURE that was the name of it...). My favorite souvies from the trip were the 457 pictures I took and the scrapbook I made of them....

We like the "big figures" they have at the Art of Disney stores. They are really cool, and every trip we take they have different ones waiting for us. We have Tink sitting on a thimble, Sorcerer Mickey, Goofy, and another Mickey looking like he is walking.

My DD9 LOVES the hand drawings of her favorite characters. You can get them in the Art of Disney in Epcot or the gallery by Townhall in MK. They have binders with hundreds of drawings. You pick the drawing and pencil color as well as if you want a message to you and character autograph.

I think I've started trouble with this (about $100 with the optional frame)

This past May I picked-out a bracelet from the jewelry store in DTD. It was a sterling silver bracelet with Mickey heads. In each head was a different kind of colorful stone. I love it because it reminds me of Disney every day that I wear it but doesn't scream "Disney" so it is also subtle. It is something I can use for along time and pass on to my daughter when she is older as a rememberance of her first trip. What was even better is that it was $28 cheaper than I expected because it was on sale but not marked as such! I found after looking at the nicer jewelry in the jewelry store that if you ask if there is a discount or lower price, there definitely could be despite the tag.

I love the picture frames, either from the rides or from each of the parks themselves. Gummy Bears from Germany, ornaments from the Christmas store, Christmas plates from each year.......

Check out the amazing glass and crystal figures at the Arriba's Brothers stores in the parks and at DTD. We picked up the lead crystal Minnie and Mickey figurines -- absolutely gorgeous.

we get special beanies which are theme park specific--we have frontierland pluto and haunted mansion mickey and tower of terror goofy among many others.

We love the pressed pennies and quarters. I know those don't seem like you are spending $$, but they do add up, and they are nice to look at later. If I really had the $$, I would collect the ride playsets (for lack of a better word) like the castle, the monorail, etc...But, they are pricey and I would have no where in my house to properly display them.

Things we've bought, not necessarily 'splurges', though:

Epcot: A "Mickey around the globe" map-themed tote bag. Every time i use it, I remember our '93 trip (my first!).

Magic Kingdom: The monogramed mouse ears have to be one of my favs. We got them when DS's were just 15 months old. They will def be a forever keepsake! And not expensive either!

For themepark specific souvenirs:
MK: Gravedigger Mickey (Haunted Mansion)
AK: YinYang AK Beach Towel
Epcot: Mission Space ISTC tag with Lanyard (mine says Navigator)
MGM: Bellhop Goofy (TOT)
DTD: Yakoose Mug (Adventurers' Club)

Kungaloosh!
Morticia.

Get a doll custom made at Der Teddybar in the Germany pavillion at Epcot. The artist will sign your doll and everything. Pricey ($140, I think) but it's my favorite part of every trip!

Not from any certain park, but I like to buy a snowglobe, from each trip.

Also pins, from the parks. Build you own pin, with your favorite things from that park. My daughter loves hers.

I have to agree with pictures. I buy a photo album each time. WE LOVE looking through the pictures, and it helps convince DH to keep going back.

MONORAIL TRAIN SET !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our family's favorite is the monorail train set. Its approx $60. We play with it all year long and of course its under our tree at Christmas time! They made all sorts of neat things to add on. So every trip we buy a new piece for it. We have the TTC (complete with sayings about the parks and para un tango ...) Dumbo ride, Haunted Mansion, SPaceship Earth, Contemporary, Poly and Cinderella's Castle. We usually get the resort we are staying at and a favorite ride. My 3 boys love it.

My favorite souvineer from any trip is a Christmas ornament. It takes forever to decorate our tree because someone has to tell a story about each ornament that is hung but our Christmas tree always holds such wonderful memories when we sit back and look at it.

I was goin to suggest a Christmas Ornament. There's a great shop for Christmas Ornaments in Liberty Square in MK. And my all-time fave ornament was my Christmas Pickle Ornament in Germany in Epcot. It's got a great tradition with it.

A couple of things I like:

The embroidered Mickey ears you can get at Chapeau's in MK
I love to get the pics they sell, either in front of the major park icon or the ride ones.

And in Epcots Journey into the Imagination - they have those crystal things where they put your image in. We got one in 03 with the 4 of us in lead crystal and it cost $80 but I love it to pieces. It captured us at that moment in time during our lives.

They have a big one that is $300 that I want soo bad. Its the Mickey icon head in lead crystal and in each ear you can put two people and in the head part comes a pic of the castle (last time I saw I think??) and it has a base that you can put it on that lights it up in all different colors!! Ahh someday when my kids are a bit older :)

My favorite souvenir from this last trip was a framed pencil drawing of the flamingo with the yo-yo from Fantasia 2000. DH & DD got it for me for Christmas.

We always get a Christmas ornament or two and pictures from the rides and at the front of the parks. Except Epcot--do they take them there? We always come in through the International Gateway so I think that's how I'm missing them.
