Just wondering---with all of the pricey souveneirs out there, what is your favorite one for less than 10 bucks? We set pretty strict budgets to afford vacations, so that leaves very little souveneir moola. Our favorite cheapies include the mouse ears hats, the antenna topper, and a princess wallet for my DD. What are yours?

BTW, :confused3 what is the correct spelling of souvienir/souveneir anyone???

We got a Mickey journal at AK that I think was $7 . . . DD had us write in it for her every night (she was 4 at the time) and now she loves going through it and reading what she thought of things on her first trip. she's also used it for subsequent vacations other places and we're bringing it back to the World this time as well!

Autograph book for 8$, my daughter still looks at it & used it as a journal upon our return home with her SOUVENIER.

My girls picked little bracelets at Canada. They are leather and their names are carved in them. Then they can pick a decoration to go on each side. One picked miney mouse and one picked a canada symbol. We have had them several years now and they still love them!

I collect shot glasses so those are some of my faves!!

DH bought me a charm bracelet at Disney on our anniversary trip in May, we get the charms at World of Disney, so those have become my favorites!!!

Most of the pins I've bought have been around $7 or $9. :)

My DD6 (at the time), now 7, bought a plastic cup with the characters, castle and fireworks on it. When you move the cup, it looks like the fireworks are going off... DD calls it her "Wishes" cup. It was $7--I think. It is a great cup--it's useful--and it reminds us of Wishes. That's better than most of what we come home with!!

The only souvenir I usually buy for myself is a coffee mug. It is inexpensive, gets used reguarly and brings great memories every morning with my cup of coffee!

Hee Hee ... Mickey Mouse wrapped soaps (FREE!) .... :teeth: well if you don't count the cost of staying in the resort so I guess it was actually pretty pricey!

Actually, I got some little wrapped Princess Chocolates and some Princess and Cinderella Castle post cards that were nice. The Mickey Mouse chocolate coins were nice too. I bought alot of things for under $10 but so many that it turned out to be expensive ... :teeth:

I'll second the vote for a travel journal. The one my daughter kept turned out to be my very most cherished souvenir from the trip, because it reminds me of exactly how magical it all was for her

The resort soaps and shampoos were a close second, though -- and last but not least, Mickey shaped Rice Krispie treats. We brought home 2 or 3 dozen and froze them, and we've been doling them out to the kids now and then ever since. They've made great little bits of magic to remind the kids how much fun it was, and then, once we planned the new trip, helping them count down the weeks until we can go back again :)

Oh, I LOVE the Mickey treat in the freezer idea! I'm definitely doing that with my left over snack credits!!!!! How long do they keep in the freezer?

My Mickey key chain, all the park maps, and coffee mug!

keychains and pins are definitely a good bet...mickey ears, mickey candy, antenna toppers, plush dolls, christmas ornaments, magnets...

there are also these little pouches of collectables you can buy in the gift shops...I don't remember what they are called but you pick a packet and a few very small items are inside...sometimes they are ride vehicles..some are disney characters. I wish I knew the name of them! :confused3 When you see them, you'll know what I'm talking about.

My pins! I'm not so much a trader as I am a collector. I'm still looking for a Beast pin, though.
