My kids are getting more grown up taste but not necessarily grown up appetites. What are your favorite meals to share in the parks? We usually do Plaza chicken once and have also shared the pasta at Pizza Port. Looking for other ideas and wondering about WCT?
thanks!

The Monte Cristo at Cafe Orleans is HUGE and filling; we do no ham. The three of us shared one with pomme frittes and a cup of gumbo. We had more than enough food.

I would definitely share a Monte Cristo. As an adult I could only eat about 1/4 of it because it was so rich, but it was good and I'm glad I tried it.

We all like the spaghetti and meatballs at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. It is a much tastier dish than the one at Pizza Port. My boys are teenagers so each eat a whole portion these days, but when they were a bit younger or when there was dessert or something else that was going to be eaten too, they would share. Also, you can order meatballs a la carte on the side, so sometimes we would order the one plate of pasta with extra meatballs rather than two full plates of pasta.

I haven't eaten lunch or dinner at Rancho del Zocalo for years, and I haven't tried Cocina Cucamonga, but the portion sizes at both of those places look very large and seem easily shareable even for adults.

I feel like portions at French Market would be large enough to share, but we all usually end up wanting different things, so we don't often share there.

I had forgotten about the monte cristo...good idea!
I've always wanted to try Rancho del Zocalo but my kids weren't much on Mexican. I think I've finally made them see the light and can convince them to try this year!

Rancho del Zocalo chicken is good for sharing. My son and I used to share the fried chicken dinner at Carnation. Any of the soups in a bread bowl works too.

We often do one appetizer and then one entree to split between two people. Some of the entrees weren't really big enough to fully feed two average sized appetites, while others are. Some of our favorite combinations are the fried dill pickles (or potato soup) and meatloaf at Carnation, gumbo and crescent city salad at Cafe Orleans, and the French Market chicken (half a chicken) and beignets. The Monte Cristo (I haven't had it in a long while, but the last time I had it, it was easily big enough for two), Plaza Inn fried chicken, and ribs (6 ribs plus two sides) at the RBT are big enough for the two of us in my family with average sized appetites.

Regarding WCT, the lasagna was big enough to share, but the other entrees I've tried (Osso Buco, Alla Vongole, and Braised Beef Ravioli) were sized for one average sized appetite.
