Favorite Rides list

Hey all. It's been 13 years (I think) since I've been to Universal. The last time I went, Spiderman had just opened. It was instantly my favorite ride of all time.

Since then I know many things have changed or have been added. The rides I'm most anticipating (In order) are:

1. Forbidden Journey
2. The Mummy
3: The Simpsons
4: MIB
5: RRR

Before Spiderman, Back to the Future was my favorite and I was sad to hear it's gone. I am looking forward to the Simpsons though. MIB looks great as well as RRR. I can't wait to see the Mummy! My kids have never been and are really excited. We are hoping to do everything but I wanna make sure the must see rides are ridden.

So, does anyone have a list of favorite rides?

You pretty much hit it on the head with your Top 5. I'd say those are currently the best attractions at the resort right now, plus Spiderman of course.

Naturally, we're looking forward to FJ, but RRR and The Simpsons as well.

not having been to IOA before, but visiting the other park last year here is my list of anticipated favorites

1 FJ
2 Spider man
3 mummy
4 hulk

mummy is the only one i have been on, and it was great. one of the best rides i have ever been on. i like slow story rides and fast thrill rides, so mummy is perfect.

question: how does the JP ride rate, is it a decent ride?

Jurassic Park is ok.

Along with my most anticipated list, I am also looking forward to:

Hulk
Dragon Challenge
Flight of the Hippogriph
Shrek
Jimmy Neutron

Not sure if I got everything. I guess the water rides will be ok but I really don't want to get wet (man I'm getting old!)

But when it's hot out, getting SOAKED on Ripsaw Falls or DRENCHED on Popeye & Bluto's is refreshing! And you dry off quickly.

You could always ride Hulk/Dragons afterwards to get "spun dry"

The Mummy is my personal favorite ride anywhere. I just giggle like a nut when I ride it.

My top list:

1. Dueling Dragons - Fire
2. Dueling Dragons - Ice
3. Hulk
4. Spiderman

My then 8 yr. old list:
1. Spiderman
2. Spiderman
3. Mummy

She went on Spiderman at least 7 or 8 times (got to love FOTL) and is already saying that she wants to go on it the same amount in Nov. For some reason, Jimmy Neutron really made me queasy and I just didn't enjoy it - maybe it was the time of day we rode.

I don't like being wet either, but I wouldn't miss Popey & Bluto's ~ one of my all time favorites.

I haven't tried HP&FJ or The Mummy yet, but other than those:

Spider-man
Popeye & Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges
MIB
The Simpsons
The Blues Brothers show (I'll never get tired of that one)

I expect HP&FJ to make my top 3, so I'll have to drop The Simpsons off. I never miss Jake and Elwood, though the HoB food is only so-so for me, over Disney way.

that's good to know, im not expecting the best thing in the world, but i even enjoy splash mountain. even if the ride is not the most thrilling, sometimes it nice to just experience some good theme in a ride.


as far as all the simpsons lovers out there, it just didn't do much for me. it was decent, but at its heart it was just back to the future, with a new movie. i suppose if you like the motion sims, its about the best ive been on.

I'd add Popeye, and the Horror Makeup and Beetlejuice shows (however, both are PG-13, I don't know how old your kids are).

We will definately do Popeye, as well as the other water rides. My kids have always wanted to do a white water ride like that and we've haven't because we've been hitting Disney during the winter. This will be the perfect time during July madness.

Was unlucky not to manage RRR last year, too big a queue or not open at all So looking forward to that this year.
