What is your favorite theme park ride of all time? Why?

For me, its the Haunted Mansion. There are so many puns, great imagineering, animatronics, and it tells a lighthearted paranormal story that is vintage Disney! "I am your host. Your ghost host!" The song Grim Grinning Ghosts is also very entertaining, though the movie was very average. But the ride, best ever! :worship: :thewave: :thewave: :thewave: :dancer: :charac2: :cool2:

Mine is the Haunted Mansion too! :) In addition to the reasons you mention... I think it's the ride that I remember most from my first trip when I was 6. It is so "Disney" to me!!

Mine would be Splash Mountain......I just love the story before the big splash down! Pooh and Tower of Terror are runners up! :flower:

I love the Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and It's A Small World, but Space Mountain is the BEST!! It always makes me scream like a kid. Everytime I finish a ride, I want to run and go do it again! Absolutely my favorite! :cheer2:

Spaceship Earth is my favorite. When you get to the top it is so cool. I also like Pirates of the Carribean and Pooh.

Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain top the list. I love the Dining Hall in HM when you see the ghosts and then you don't. I love the big drop at the end of Splash Mountain. oh, oh, oh, Tower of Terror is awesome too! DS will probably never ride it again...poor kid I thought he was going to have a heart attack.

Haunted Mansion is my nostalgic favorite.

BTMRR is our current family favorite! :teeth:

Small World. I actually remember it from the 1963 New York Worlds' Fair (that's how old I am). I don't think I've ever outgrown dolls.

Splash Mountain - I love the happy go lucky feeling you get while riding it :goodvibes
Journey to Atlantis at Sea World. - I love how it turns into a roller coaster at the end. :Pinkbounc

Definitely the Haunted Mansion. Every ride is as much fun as my first ride back in 1972! :teeth:

I have several favorite theme park rides. They are:

Tower of Terror at Disney-MGM Studios

The Riddler at Six Flags Magic Mountain

Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom in WDW

It's A Small World, because it is the only ride I can remember from my trip to Disneyland way back in 1967. Being only 8 at the time, I don't know why this has stuck with me when the other rides didn't, but even today, I still look forward to the ride more than any other one at WDW. It was devastating to see the wall around it on our trip in January knowing that I couldn't get on and hear that music. And to think it reopens in just 4 days, wish I could be the first one in line that day. :cool1:

I have to go with Haunted Mansion. I also love Peter Pan. I'm also a big fan TTA when my feet hurt!

Mine seems to be one that no one else mentions, The Jungle Cruise. I know it seems hokey, but I just like it. I don't know why. Whenever we take newbies, they can't figure out why I like it so much. Maybe it was because I remember it so well from my first trip to Disneyland in 1976, when I was 13. Anyway, 1 vote for the Jungle Cruise.

All my favorites are at WDW - Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, and Test Track. Honorary mentions - Splash Mountain, Kali River Rapids, and Rock n Rollercoaster.

It's a Small World. That was my youngest son's favorite on our first trip - the memories of being with him on it will always be precious. My husband even made me a music box that plays that song for Christmas. I love it! (OK - I can't listen to it too much!)

But my favorite to ride myself has to be Rockin Roller Coaster. I can't wait till he's ready to go on it with me!
