Hey everybody, I have to make some dining reservations and I was just wondering about peoples opinions about their favorite restaurant! I would love some input! Thanks!

Well, this is one of the most popular topics here on the DIS, and we love to talk about it!

As far as restaurants that require a PS (as opposed to counter service), I like:

Carnation Cafe (in DL - the seating is limited and the line builds quickly, so definitely make a PS if you can; this is the only place in DL that sells the full-size Mickey Mouse waffle, I think)

Wine Country Trattoria (in DCA)

Goofy's Kitchen (character meal in the DLH)

Storytellers Cafe (in the GCH - not necessarily the character meal, however)

Rain Forest Cafe (in DTD)

Naples (in DTD)

ESPN Zone (in DTD)

As far as counter service meals:

Bengal BBQ (DL)

River Belle Terrace (Home of the Mickey Mouse pancake in DL)

Blue Ribbon Bakery (try the excellent cinnamon roll)

Taste Pilots Grill (DCA)

I love the atmosphere at Blue Bayou, but it is pricey. I also really liked the food at Ariel's Grotto, but it's a pricey character meal with princesses, so be aware of that.

I love Carnation Cafe. Frankly, it's a better value than some of the quick service places. I usually eat there at least once a trip, if not every day.

With the new menu, we are now HUGE fans of lunch or dinner at Ariel's Grotto. The TriTip Steak and Ciopinno are outstanding

Isn't that the truth??!! :lmao:

Our favorites at DL are:

Carnation Cafe
Cafe Orleans
Pizza Port
Rancho Del Zocalo

At DCA we like:

Wine Country Trattoria
Farmers Market
Taste Pilots

Blue Bayou for sure! The atmosphere is so neat and the food is excellent!

Cafe Orleans, for the Monte Cristo, that is the best meal in the park.

:thumbsup2 Definitely a popular topic, and always fun to talk about!

DH and I adore Cafe Orleans and Blue Bayou....Minnie & Friends is our favorite character experience!:thumbsup2

Cafe Orleans is on Mike's "must go to" list of places to eat when we go in December. I've heard that they share a kitchen with Blue Bayou (don't know if this is true or not?) so they have similar quality food but with a different atmosphere and a much lower price.

I have to admit, it's one of my favorite places too! I also like the Catal Uva Bar in DTD, but it doesn't have the most kid friendly menu.

cafe orleans
Wine Country Trattoria
Goofy's Kitchen

Rancho Del Zocalo
Rain Forest Cafe

How new is the menu? I'd read a lot of bad reviews about Ariel's and now in the last few weeks, I'm starting to see a lot of good reviews. And I'll second how great the tri-tip is.

We really really liked Cafe Orleans and Carnation Cafe.

We didn't care for Pizza Port, Rancho Del Zocalo and the burger place by the Jedi Academy. Yuck!

For snacks we loved the pickles, dole whips, churros and pretzels. Turkey Legs were really good too. Wanted to eat a tigger tail but never found it :( so sad. And wanted to eat popcorn and benqel b'que but ran out of stomach room.

Well, they just closed one of my tops: Yamabuki.

Otherwise, Blue Bayou is a fave, if I'm feeling on the wealthy side.

For cheaper eats, I enjoy the Pacific Wharf and Cafe Orleans.

Not necessarily a favorite food-wise, but I almost always get breakfast at Tomorrowland Terrace. Just I sometimes don't eat before hitting the parks, and I often start off in Tomorrowland.

It's not a restaurant, but to add to it all, a turkey leg is a must on a trip to Anaheim.

My favorite counter service restaurant is Plaza Inn in Disneyland. The decor is just beautiful there. I also love Storyteller's Cafe (a table service restaurant) at the Grand Californian. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy.

I mostly agree with Sherry's list: Scratch the Naples, add Napa Rose and Pacific Wharf.
