What is your favorite restaurant to eat at for breakfast in Disneyland??

We are thinking of booking priority seating for breakfast before the park opens....

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I would like to know this as well.. But How do you get into the gates before the park even opens to eat?

We made PS for the Plaza inn Minnie and Friends. I believe f1rst seating is at 7:00. (ours is at 7:30). You enter thru gate 1 or 2 and you are escorted to the restaurant before the gate opens

i didnt know you could get into the park before opening. wow...
i also have eaten at the plaza inn and it was delicious! lots of characters too!
i had 9:30 reservations and it was busy in October!

In DCA we enjoyed Ariel's Grotto, we ate before the park opened and it was really neat. We just checked in at the gates prior to park opening and got in, we had to follow a certain route but it was still neat.
In DL we enjoy M&Fs, good food, great character interaction, very fun!! And you get in the same way, find the gate with the CM checking names for Plaza Inn and you will get in. :)

BTW, those are the only 2 places IN the parks for character breakfasts, both are very good IMO. :)

Well, outside of the character meal realm (because we all know what my favorite is as far as that goes, and if you don't, my signature pictures tell the tale!;):lmao:), it is a toss up for me. I can't decide. I really like Carnation Cafe as a restaurant in general. I like the location of it and the quaint charm of it and we have done breakfast there a couple of times but I think I prefer their lunch or dinner over the breakfast. BUT, I used to eat at River Belle Terrace a lot in the old days and kind of miss it. Again, I like the location of it and I love the smell of the breakfast food when you walk into the restaurant. And of course, those Mickey pancakes hold a fond place in my heart. Then again, over in DTD, the breakfast at Rainforest Cafe is pretty good, and you can't beat the atmosphere there in the early morning hours, when the restaurant is half empty. You can sit next to whichever gorilla or fish or elephant you want!! In all of these cases, though, I think I liked the location or atmosphere of the restaurants over the food itself (except for Goofy's, in which case I like the characters AND the food).

I wish I could say that Storytellers was higher up on my list for breakfast, because that is another restaurant I like in general in terms of overall ambience - and I do like their lunch and dinner menus. But I wasn't overwhelmed by the breakfast buffet (would rather have Goofy's expansive selection of buffet items) and I don't feel the off-the-menu items at Storytellers are a good value - way too expensive for the portions you get. About $17.00 for what would essentially be the size (or smaller) of a Denny's Grand Slam is not a good value to me. The buffet makes more financial sense, but the selection is more limited than Goofy's.

I am eager to try Lilo and Stitch and Minnie and Friends in the future.

We just ate breakfast at Carnation Cafe last month and loved it. That's actually the only place I've eaten breakfast in the park. We're local so we usually just eat breakfast at home but we made a special point to go and try out Carnation Cafe because we wanted to try the cinnamon roll french toast and it was really yummy. I want to go back again sometime soon.

I think we are going to try Plaza Inn, I have been told that there is alot of characters at the restaurant and we will be in the park before it opens which is a bonus..

When we did our Magic Morning we wandered over to New Orleans Square and had Mickey pancakes for breakfast soooo yummy as well. But i cant remember the name of the restuarant but was very popular

River Belle Terrace is the place! I mentioned in my post above that I love the smell when I first walk in there - I can smell the pancakes being made and the aroma (mixed with syrup and coffee) fills the air! Yum!

RiverBelle Terrace has great breakfasts, but no characters there. I love the way it smells in there....pancakes and syrup and warmth. I love it!! :)

I don't know. We eat breakfast in the parks late, around 10:30.

I too love the Riverbelle Terrace. I love the smells and the atmosphere of that area first thing in the morning, and to see the paddle wheeler go by, and its not as busy outside yet, its just so relaxing. The food there is very decent too. I really enjoy the mickey mouse shaped pancakes.

I am finding conflicting info on the price.

Is it $35 for adults and $20 for kids?

We are going in late August.

Thanks!!!

We are also looking at PI for breakfast since we get a voucher thru Costco. We ate there in 97 but sure do not remember what it was like.

I will always agree with Sherry E on this one. Goofy's is the best! :worship: But as far as in park is concerned, I like Riverbell terrace. I have not done Minnie and Friends at the Plaza inn yet, but I plan to on my next trip. I've heard good things.::MinnieMo

Aside from Goofy's Kitchen, (my all-time favorite Disney breakfast place, but it's not in the Park itsself), my favorites are, in order:

Carnation Cafe'...either Oscar's Breakfast Platter (I think that's what it's called?) or the yummy Cinnamon Roll French Toast...with a view of Main Street!

Riverbelle Terrace...when I want a Mickey shaped pancake!

Tomorrowland Terrace...when I'm REALLY hungry, and want something FAST! (The breakfast platters there are HUGE, and include milk, juice, or coffee).

Does Cafe Orleans still serve breakfast? It is my favorite for dinner and was thinking of trying it for breakfast on our next trip.
