Favorite Restaurant at Disney??

We (family of 5, Me, DH, DD15,DS12,DD4) are just planning our first trip to WDW. I wanted to hear from some of you who have been a few times. What are your favorite places to eat? and Why? Thanks!!

Le Cellier (at Canada, in Epcot) -- wonderful food, good service...ah, for the long-forgotten days when Le Cellier was Disney's best kept secret! The secret is out.

Prime Time Cafe is a great choice for a family like yours. The food is really good, and the "show" is super!

We (family of 4) enjoy lunch at Sci Fi (burgers), dinner at Nine Dragons (large Portions), and dinner at Cape May. Used to love Ohana. 1900 Park Faire is good also. This trip we are trying H&V for dinner and Les Chefs de France for lunch. First time there for both. Maybe a place on the Boardwalk as well since we're at the YAcht Club.

Prime Time Cafe is a great choice for a family like yours. The food is really good, and the "show" is super!

I totally agree. Great place, great food, and a nice show. The servers seem to know whether you want to participate or not so don't worry about it.
The Kona Cafe at the Polynesian has great food. Also Nine Dragons in Epcot and Rose and Crown in Epcot both have great food.
One of our favorites is the Clam Bake at the Cape May Cafe (Beach Club). A wide variety of both seafood and non-seafood options so everyone will find something they like.

Chef Mickeys! Food and ambience is great. CM seems to get slammed alot but I think it is pretty good.

Magic Kingdom
Counter serve-All have there days, over all and depending how hungry you are most are good. Some favorites-Hot Dogs at Casey's. Columbia Harbour House good place to cool off and grab a bit on a hot day.
Sit Down-We like Crystal Place for all meals. Also The Plaza Restaurant.

Epcot
Counter Serve-Most are good although there are a few that we don't care for. Cantina de San Angel and Lotus Blossom Cafe are Yucky.
Sit Down-All have there days, one we continually return to Rose & Crown. I've found over the years it depends on what Grandchildren we have with us. Some like San Angel Inn, others like Coral Reef, still others like Rose and Crown. I myself love the ones in France both Bistro and Les Chefs de France.

Animal Kingdom
Counter Serve-All are good, favorites Chakrandi Chicken Shop, Pizzafari, Tusker House.

MGM
Counter Serve-Most yucky. One I do like Starring Rolls Bakery.
Sit Down-Very Difficult here most are not that great. Sci-Fi OK for a burger, fries and milkshake. 50's Prime Time, food OK but lots of fun. Mama Melrose Italian with a california twist. Some like it other don't.

We just got back from WDW, my favourite restaurant was Ohana, we went there for breakfast. Our server was fabulous, the food was good, and the characters were very interactive with the kids, we have 5 children total,ages from 5-10. Kids loved it. We did a later breakfast reservation, therefore we skipped lunch and just snacked at the parks.

I also really liked Boma, we had to wait 40-45 min for our reservation, but it was worth it, the food was great, we ate dinner there. Whispering Canyon is another really great restuarant, it is also great for the kids, the servers are lots of fun, and they seem to really enjoy what they are doing...it was alot of fun for the kids.

The character breakfast over at the Cape May Cafe was family friendly and not quite as crazy as Chef Mickey's.

The Hoop de Doo Review really is fabulous and I'm a big fan of lunch at The Plaza and dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern in MK.

After a long day of park hopping, DH and DS and I went to Epcot for dinner. Every time we have gone to Biergarten rest. we were always able to be seated immediately. First time was at around 11:30 in the morning and around 3pm the second time. We thought we could just walk right in at around 6pm this particular time, boy were we WRONG!!! What a huge mistake not making ADR there, but we did not know any better... . Anyway, we were freezing cold (in Jan., 30 something degrees) and STARVING so we ran into the China pavillion and were able to be seated right away at the Lotus (? not sure if thats the name) and we were very pleasantly suprised!! After reading bad reviews online and in the Unofficial Guide book, I was unsure about going but since it was the only place without a line (thank you bad reviewers!!!!!) and we were able to actually EAT, it was a Godsend!!! The food was great! I had the General Tsao's chicken, so did DH and DS (7) ate some kind of kid's chicken thing. I also had a glass of delicious plum wine with my dinner, it warmed me right up!!! Anyway, I have learned to be open minded about things and don't not try something just because the reviews were not good. Unofficial guide also says HORRIBLE things about El Rio De Tiempo and that is my favorite ride in the whole "World". Have fun and enjoy your time at Disney!!!

Chef Mickey's at Contemporary characters,good food selection.

Ohana at Polynesian fun atmosphere.

Wispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge (the older kids will really have a blast!)

Sci-Fi atmosphere is great and the burgers are yummy!

Our family have gone repeatedly to these place with age ranges of 5-70 with teens, twentysumthins, thirtysumthins and up!

We are five too with DS15, DD12 and DS10. Our favorite restaurant is Spoodles. Love the atmosphere, food is tasty and the desserts are quite good. Kids can make their own sundaes. It's fun later to stroll on the Boardwalk.

At MK, we like the Plaza. It is just off Main Street, usually quiet and you can have a table service sandwich and shake. We prefer this over the lines/confusion of some of the counter service spots and it is quicker and less expensive than some of the other TS restaurants.

In Epcot we like Yakatori for CS and Rose and Crown and ALfredos. Love the Rose and Crown atmosphere!

In MGM, we like SciFi (for atmosphere, not food). Your kids would like this. Fun old B movies and okay if you stick to burgers and shakes. If it is just you and hubby, try the Brown Derby.

We usually don't eat at AK except for quick snacks.

ALso like Kona, Cape May, ESPN and Ohana.

We have been 8 times in the last 3 years - only 2 months to the next trip!

Some of our favorites are:
Magic Kingdom:
Cosmic Rays for burgers
Cinderella's Royal Court for sit down character meal
Tony's Town Square for Pasta (and incredible meatball grinders too!)

Epcot:
Most favorite - Japan - the grill side - they cook the food right in front of you - a hit for our 6 year old!
China
Mexico
and of course fish & chips counter service in England

Animal Kingdom:
Tusker House
and for a quick healthy snack - there is a great stand next to the entrance to the Safari that has great fruit/cheese snacks!!!

MGM:
We really enjoy the ABC commissary for quick service
and the Brown Derby for sit down

Character Meals:
Chef Mickey's is great
LOVE Ohana's Breakfast - great atmosphere, character interaction and the pineapple bread is INCREDIBLE!!!
Mickey's Backyard BBQ - worth every penny!!!
Restrauntosaurus - food was okay, but the character interaction was great - especially with Donald who is hard to find!

Many resorts have great meals too including Olivia's at OKW, Saratoga has a great food court

We've been eight times in 15 years.

Overall fave- Boma! Wonderful atmosphere, great food.

Others-

San Angel- Unique setting by the river, volcano
Le Cellier- pretzel bread, cheese soup, steaks
Chefs de France- I love the accents!
Brown Derby- high quality food and service
1900 Park Fare for character breakfast- bread pudding!

Character meal- Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary Resort
Dining- Mexico sit down restaurant (inside)

Lunch @ Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge....good food, very entertaining.... They have horses on sticks that people go around riding, if someone asks for ketchup everyone runs over with it from their table, they even have some guest participation sing alongs!

We are a family of four with 2 kids DS 2 and DD 6. Our favorites are CRT and California Grill. Ohana is our next favorite, followed by Whispering Canyon.
