Just wondering what everyone's favorite resort restaurant is - could be TS or QS. I already have Boma booked but I'm looking for another resort meal for a non-park day.

My family was pleasantly surprised by The Wave, dad even said it was the best meal of the week. We also really enjoy Cape May Cafe's Clambake, we must go here on every trip because we love seafood (unlimited crab legs? yes please.)

Kona Cafe at the Polynesian for dinner was also very good. We've only been there once and even though the service was the slowest of our trip, we will likely be going back. 1900 Park Fare breakfast was alright but not as good as I expected.

Glad to see you already booked Boma, as it is #1 on our list! #2 would probably be California Grill

Thank you!

I have wanted to go to Boma for so long and every time something happens and we can't get there. California Grill drool- I don't want to take the kids there. I think the teenager might appreciate it, the 10 year old not so much. But thank you! I am drooling looking at the menu. I am also contemplating making the 17 year old babysit...LOL.

Goodness, most of my favorite Disney restaurants are at resorts. I guess if I had to pick just one, it would be Jiko.

Congrats on Boma...it's our new favorite WDW restaurant. Other than Boma, I'd have to say Kona Cafe. It's great food and easy to get ADR's.

Ohana is a must do our on list. Last year we tried Grand Floridian Cafe and loved it. We will be doing that one again in May.

Love Chef de France for lunch, the food is delicious and the fixed price menu option really wasn't priced too bad.

We also went to La Hacienda in Mexico and we really liked that. Ended up there right before Illuminations so we had great food with a great show!

I think for the best food I like Yachtsmens Steakhouse, but for best atmosphere and food, probably Narcoosies.

I'm going to agree with a previous poster and say that most of our faves are not in the parks, but at resorts.

Number one right now for me is Sanaa! LOVE IT!!!! Food, atmosphere, service - all excellent. I've been there three times (all three of the trips I've done in the less than two years it's been open!)

I also really love Jiko. Never had a negative experience there ever!

(Truly, I think Animal Kingdom Lodge/villas has the best concentration of resort restaurants on property.)

We also really like Kouzzina and Cape May Cafe. Kona is also really good.

You said "non-park" day. What about Downtown Disney. If you are including that then I would say either Wolfgang Puck Cafe in DTD, Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, or Jiko at AKL (although it is a signature restaurant). I am hoping Kouzzina is good cuz I have it booked for my upcoming August trip (mostly because I love Cat Cora).

Another vote for Kona. It is one of our favorites. The menu is varied and we've never had anything we didn't love.

All of the AKL-AKV restaurants are excellent, but I'm biased, AKL is our favorite resort. That being said, on our last trip we had one of the best meals of our lives at Todd English's Blue Zoo in the Dolphin. If you like seafood I'd highly recommend it!

I have two...Kona and the Turf Club! Both have amazing food and I feel their prices are more reasonable than other places. It's also fairly easy to get a reservation.

Another vote here for Cape May Cafe, that is our favorite. But another fun one that I have not seen mentioned is the Whispering Canyon, however it is loud and fun, not a relaxing meal... my tweens loved it!!!

Also, we spent a couple of hours hunting Hidden Mickey's at the resort before our meal. They have a HM Scavenger Hunt sheet at the front desk if you ask for it.

Glad you got Boma - we love it.

Ohana is also a must-do for us, and should offer enough variety for the kids too.

ahh thank you for all the good suggestions!

Someone mentioned Whispering Canyon - that's sort of our "default' LOL - we go there every time. I was trying to branch out a bit rofl...but you know how that goes. But now at least I have good suggestions.
