I love Pork Chops. Sometimes I just put them in the oven with some BBQ sauce on them. Sometimes, I make a pineapple BBQ sauce for them. Other times I fried them with onions.

Below are some of my other favorite ways to cook pork. What are yours?

Mushroom Braised Pork

4 to 6 pork steaks or chops
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1 can (10.5oz) golden mushroom soup
2/3 cup mushroom stems and pieces

In large skillet, brown pork. Season. Drain well. Stir in soup and mushrooms. Reduce heat. Simmer, covered over low heat for 45 to 50 minutes.

I serve them with mashed potatoes

Onion Baked Pork Chops

1 envelope Onion Soup Mix
2/3 cup dry bread crumbs
6 to 8 thick pork steaks or chops

Preheat oven to 350. Combine soup mix and bread crumbs. Dip wet pork in soup mix. Coat well. Place in lightly greased large shallow baking pan. Bake, turning once, for 1 hour or till tender.

Pork Chops O'Brien

1 Tbls cooking oil
6 pork chops
Seasoned Salt
1 (10.75oz) can condensed cream of celery soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1 bag (24oz) frozen O'Brien or hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 cup shredded cheese
1 can (2.8oz) french fried onions

Preheat oven to 350. In large skillet, heat oil. Brown pork on both sides. Drain. Sprinkle pork with seasoned salt. Set aside. In large bowl, combine soup, milk, sour cream, pepper, and 1/2 tsp seasoned salt. Stir in potatoes, 1/2 cup cheese, and 1/2 can onions. Spoon into 9 x 13 inch baking dish, arrange pork on top. Bake covered at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes or till pork is done. Tope with remaining cheese and onions. Bake uncovered 5 minutes or till onions are golden.

No pork allowed here. :sad1: But I do have a fantastic Pork Loin recipe that I could share with the rest of you lucky cooks. I will look for it. Its been almost 4 years since I've been able to cook pork :scared1:

Enjoyed reading your pork receipts. One of our favorites is to use 1 cup rice (any kind) add 1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup with 1 cup water. Place pork chops on top and bake at 350 for about 1 hour or so. This receipt is for 2 people but can be altered for as many as you need. We usually have rice left over.

I must try that O'Brien recipe! I don't think we have french fried onions - can I just fry some chopped onions in the pork fat?

Pork Chops a Different Way

1 cup beer (you can substitute broth)
3 apples, pared, cored and sliced
1 large onion, sliced
2 TBS butter
2 TBS flour
6 pork chops
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste

Preheat oven to 350.

Place apples and onion in a buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

In a small saucepan, melt butter, then stir in flour and add beer. Stir until thickened.

Place pork chops over onions. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic. Pour sauce over the top.

Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
