Favorite Photo Spot

We want to have those disney photographers take a picture of our whole family. Of the ones they take, where is your favorite spot?

Which photos turn out the best?

I have seen some where people are kneeling on Main Street but there are tons of 'other people' in their photos. Are there spots where it can be just your family in the shot? Or is that an unrealistic expectation?

Is there anywhere, for a fee, where we can get a professional photo of us at the park?

I guess the most classic pose is in front of Cinderella's Castle at MK. It's perfectly possible to get a picture with nobody else on it - if you wait long enough people tend to step aside so that you can get a quick picture, people in Disney are generally polite! :wizard:

I guess I'd just say wander round the parks and you'll come across thousands of photo opportunities. We took around 500 pics last time we went :rotfl:

I'm sure there are places for professional pics too - CM's do come round with cameras but obviously you can't guarantee there will be nobody else in the background!

DH and I always get one in front of the Castle, but, yes, there can be people in the background. This includes people bending over (I have a photo with this). Try to do the photo first thing in the morning for the least amount of people.

We had one taken at AK by the Tree that was just us. Also, the character photos usually don't have anyone in the background. They are free to have taken, so take a lot and hopefully one will turn out great. :wizard

I have great pics taken with the castle, but instead I go toward Liberty square, on a little bridge, you have part of the lake and the castle in the background... also if you continue, they have little tables outside, if you go toward the railling, there's nobody in the pics with you... If I can fix my printer I would scan my pics and post them too... great pictures

We always take a photo by the Buzz Lightyear spaceship. As my kids grow we can see how much bigger they get each and every trip. They moved the ship on us on the last trip, but we found it hiding back by Als toy barn.

Use Photopass. There are another threads explaining what Photopass is, but mainly is that you can have your picture taken with any of these photographers, they will give you a card and store a number on it or something, and at the end you can buy the CD ($99) or individual photos. The photos are in a website and you can also order them online.

Entering the MK-you can capture the train station plus the castle. Sitting on the curb watching Spectro Magic you can get some great pics as well.

2 Years ago at DS's preschool there was a Christmas Card hung on the wall with a family sitting on the lawn on the side of the castle. I didn't know the family so I was unable to get any info on how they were able to take that picture. I still remember it because I was a little jealous
