Believe it or not she's actually had 7 top 40 songs on the Hot 100 and Torn (peaking at #42) was NOT one of them.

I don't know about Men Without Hats and Safety Dance. Pop Goes the World went #20 on the Billboard Hot 100. So what's the limit? A lot of songs charted well in other countries.

My Sharona- The Knack

Editing to add- well, I am wrong. Apparently, their song "Good Girls Don't" made it to #11 the same year. Funny, you never hear that song anymore, but "My Sharona" is still played a lot.

It looks like Joey was their only top 50 hit, but they had others on the Modern Rock/Alternative charts, such as Caroline, Heal It Up, and Walking in London.

Ha! I was editing while you were posting! Once reminded of it, I totally remember liking Good Girls Don't! Yes, when their first album came out in 1979, the critics were calling The Knack "the next Beatles". That didn't turn out to be the case.

I never saw that movie, but I just looked up the soundtrack. WOW!! Some of those songs brought back good memories. There seems to be more than one version of the soundtrack, with additional or substituted songs.

I think all the songs you listed were in movie. Like sometime for 5 seconds. Pretty sure the original soundtrack did not have Melt WithYou. Movie did but for some reason was not on soundtrack
