We're staying at Coronado Springs for a week next month. We're doing 3 WDW park days and 1 Universal park day, the remaining days are undecided as of yet. We'll have a car and I'm looking for some meal suggestions that aren't Disney or Universal. Two adults, not interested in gourmet or foodie options. Prefer non-chain, anything from diners on up to a mid-priced meal. Our favorites are BBQ, steak, Italian. Any suggestions? Thanks!

We ate at Teak Neighborhood Grill in Orlando last month and the burgers and flatbreads were TO DIE FOR. Burgers with fries were about $12-$15. They have a secret menu so be sure to ask for it if you do visit. DH got the Godzilla burger and it was so huge that it could easily have fed two people. It's closer to Universal than Disney, so it may be a good option for dinner on your Universal day. They have a beautiful outdoor patio too, but we were visiting during an unusual cold snap, so we stayed indoors. www.teakorlando.com

We also love Four Rivers Smokehouse/BBQ. They have several locations in the area, the closest in Kissimmee.

Giordano's for Chicago style deep-dish pizza. It takes a while but it is worth it.

We like The Coop - same owners as 4Rivers - for their chicken and waffles.

It’s in Winter Park so we go for brunch and then shopping in Winter Park and/or the Morse Museum to view the Tiffany Glass exhibits.

Hash house a go go is very good. It is located on I drive just north of universal. Their portions are huge and the food is good. My son had a kids breakfast and the pancake was way bigger than his head

Go onto Hwy 192 going West heading towards Hwy 27

you will find many good eating places within 10 miles

For Italian we love Bruno’s - bruno192.com . It’s like a small NY Italian restaurant. Very authentic good food.

We also like johnnie’s hideaway at crossroads for steak. Excellent aged meal. Lots of restaurants at Crossroads- most very reasonable and good.

Tom and Chee at the Crossroads, for cheap comfort food - ie, grilled cheese.

We love Bucca di Beppo at Florida Mall and PF Chang'sat the Mall At Millenia.
Oh, and Olive Garden (8984 International Drive). Also all the fast foods at International Drive lol
they're great and cheap! ♥

Also at the Mall at Millenia:
Keke’s Breakfast Cafe - great breakfasts and always a bit of a wait
Burger 21
