Favorite non-"ride" attractions/activities?

The Easter Egg hunt has a small fee - you can buy a map that shows the areas in a number of shops in California Adventure. I believe Oswald's and Elias & Co. both sell them. We're going to do this next week!

My daughter's friend really dislikes rides and she has a blast at Disneyland. There are so many shows, character meet and greets, and entertainment that you could argue you get your money's worth even without getting on a single ride. Here are some to consider:

Character meet and greets throughout both parks
Fireworks
Fantasmic!
World of Color
Frozen singalong
It's Tough to Be a Bug
Pixar Play Parade
Freeze the Night dance party
Soundsational Parade
Mickey and the Magical Map
Aladdin stage show
Innoventions
Big Thunder Ranch

Carsland - watching DJ's dance party, then the Carsland lighting at dusk
Finding Hidden Mickeys
Scavanger Hunt
Taking Pictures
Pin Trading
Seeking out the Entertainers
Trying all the snacks and treats, especially at Cozy Cone

The current Frozen show going on at Fantasy Faire is hilarious. Both my 6 year old girl and 12 year old boy (as well at their parents :)) loved it.

Can anyone fill me in about the petting zoo and junior chef baking activity mentioned?

The petting zoo is over by Big Thunder Ranch and usually has goats and a few sheep. I've seen turnkeys there at halloween time as well. There may be some other farms animals as well but I'm not 100% positive on that.
