What is your favorite pre-cruise hotel. We are not interested in going to Disney before hand. Thanks!

We like to stay at the Hampton Inn in Cocoa Beach for a couple of nights prior to our cruise. Hampton Inn Hotel in Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral, FL (hilton.com) Our last stay was in August 2019 and some of the things we like about it are: nice rooms; free breakfast; decent sized pool; short walk via pathway to the beach; lots of food options available in the vicinity; short walk to Ron Jon's; shuttle to port available for a fee.

For our last cruise we stayed two nights before the cruise at one of the Disney Springs resorts in Orlando. We stayed at the Doubletree, and we went to one of the water parks and Disney Springs (but no theme parks). It was fun!

Florida Hotel - Inside the Florida Mall.. good hotel and you have the mall right there for last minute shopping before the cruise.

Crown Plaza in Universal Blvd - Excellent hotel. Beautiful pool and nice very large outdoor sitting area/plaza with tables for outdoor dinning and sofas and lounge chairs with fireplaces where you can relax at night with an adult drink in hand before you get on the cruise next day.

Both in the $100-$200 range depending on time of the year. That was a couple of years ago before the pandemic.

Depends on when you arrive. We fly in from the west coast, so arrive pretty late the night before.
We stay at the Hyatt, because after a full day of traveling we are ready to get food court dinner and go for a quick swim before bed. We don't want to add EXTRA traveling.

For the sake of simplicity, we stay at the Radisson Resort at the Port. It is VERY close to the terminal and even offers transportation and parking if you want it.

It depends on when we arrive in MCO. If it's the day before the cruise, we stay at the Hyatt inside the airport. You can be in your room after getting off the plane in 15 minutes, even with checked luggage.

If it's a few days before, we prefer to stay near Disney Springs at one of the Disney hotels, or at the Residence Inn in Cape Canaveral. However, it's been a few years since we stayed there. They have a Hertz in the parking lot (which may be closed at this time due to the pandemic), the breakfast buffet is good and it's the closest hotel to the terminal.

Like others have said we like the MCO Hyatt. So simple to get off the plane and go up to the hotel, the rooms are really nice with great beds, there are plenty of places to get something to eat, and you can leave your luggage in your room the next morning and head downstairs to the bus.

West Coaster too, but we didn't get in until 11 pm so too late for dinner or a swim. I would suggest any of the 12 hotels on Augusta National Drive just off the airport property. 5 minutes and they all have vans to pick you up. Much much cheaper than the Hyatt and most include breakfast. We stayed at the Marriott.

When we fly in late the night before - HYATT MCO. When we are fortunate enough to fly in a day earlier to relax before the cruise...then it's Radisson Resort at Port Canaveral!

Hyatt MCO...

And Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort :)

P.s.: Also we had a nice stay at the Doubletree Orlando Airport.

Hilton Bonnet Creek near Disney World. It is like a resort stay before leaving for Port Canaveral the next day.

We stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Port Canaveral, for our last DCL cruise. Its new and very nice & clean. Rooms have kitchenette. Very close to port. Would stay there again.

There's a new Hampton Inn and Home2 Suites combination very near the port (located behind the Homewood Suites someone mentioned above). We stayed there last week before our cruise and it was clean and comfortable and very new. Included breakfast. Has a pretty nice pool area--nicer than what I normally see at a Hampton Inn.

If not renting a car (or driving your own), I recommend Hyatt MCO so it's easy to get the bus in the morning. I don't like staying on WDW property and taking the bus because it gets me there too late!

We just stayed there (Hampton Inn at Port Canaveral) before our Fantasy cruise. The breakfast seemed to be back to pre covid menu. They had the waffle machine out and a few hot items. Very new and very clean. Although we are not fans of the new Hampton floor plan with the sliding barn door for the bathrooms.

We stayed at Homewood Suite Port Canaveral before a cruise a few years ago - it was clean, spacious and, at that point, had a pretty good buffet breakfast. I would definitely look in the Port Canaveral area for convenience (or the Hyatt MCO if you are flying in the night before). Heading into the WDW/Uni area of Orlando will be a waste of time, IMHO, if you aren't visiting the parks.

We stayed there too (June 2019). I liked it a lot and intend to stay there in the future - but the next cruise out of PC is exactly 1 year/1 day from now, so hard to say. (So I'll hopefully be at the airport this time next year to fly down to Orlando and stay there...lol).

When our kids were younger, the loved the Hyatt at the airport. Get a room with views of the runway and we would be outside watching planes take off which they thought was cool. They handle your luggage if you are doing Disney transportation to the port.

Downside is food, being stuck in the airport.
