Favorite non-Disney animated film

Is there a non-Disney animated feature that you love? For me it's a toss up between An American Tail and Anastasia. I love An American Tail because not only does it take place in one of my favorite historical time eras, but Fievel's familiy is Russian Jewish just like my own heritage. Anastasia is the only non-Disney movie that I've given the same treatment that I usually reserve for Disney, like buying the dolls, the soundtrack, and the movie itself. I love the songs and the story! It's so great to have the heroine actually be the one to defeat the villian rather than the hero.

Shrek, hands down! When it won the AA I was really torn between it and Monsters Inc. 'cause it was a great Disney animation, but Shrek really deserved it IMHO

And my 3 yo DD is a HUGE Disney fan, she knows ALL the characters & loves the songs (remind you of anybody AB?!?!?!)

But she also LOVES Shrek & it's characters as well!

As far as non-Disney non-animated children's movies, I am a huge fan of Babe, and Babe Pig in the City. My kids love both of these too.
