I am very partial to Rafiki. It is really the only Disney name that is sort of close to my name (Risa). In fact I am considering changing my disboard name to Risafiki. Love the character too!
LOL!!! Jasmine is such a popular name (along with all of its horrid spellings), I don't think all of the parents are Disfreaks like us Aurora is also in the top 500 US names. That is part of the reason I couldn't use it. Mostly I couldn't use it because we plan to move back to Alaska ASAP and Aurora is a bit too 'much' for that area. It is, however, a popular name for pets there (I myself had a cat named Aurora who ran away, yet another poo-poo on the name) Kenai is another popular pet name there.
I used the names Oliver, Melody and Belle for my children. The youngest is actually called Isabelle, but we named her with the intention of calling her Belle.
I am partial to Nala as well. It sounds like a strong name, yet girly too.
I was just pondering some NOT SO CUTE names!!! :
*Bambi -For obvious reasons (sorry to any Bambis out there)
*Blue Fairy- Can you just imagine when "Blue Fairy" gets in trouble?!? "Blue Fairy, you get your butt in here this minute!!!" Just seems wrong to be yelling at THE Blue Fairy.
*Beast- Might be a good name if your child is a bully!
*Gaston- I actually LIKE this name, but I would hate for him to grow up too stuck on himself
*Gus- I love the little guy, but couldn't bring myself to naming my children after him
My favorite is Belle. I think it says it all. ( beautiful in French ). I hesitated on whether I should call one of my DD's Ariel.....but spelled Arielle, DH prefered Alexanne.
I hear of alot of kittens being named Simba, especially the caramel colored ones, I have to admit that a good idea. Too many people are doing this and you find yourself at the vet and the nurse calls out Simba and a couple of people get up...
You have beautiful daughters, with beautiful names! That little one loves the camera. I like Ariel and John, also Sebastian. I think Kenai is cute, but not really my style. I like Gaston, too, but again, wouldn't fit our family. Christopher Robin is nice. I used to like Jane, until I taught one.
These responses are great! No, I can't imagine being named Blue Fairy. I also think Snow White would be hard to live up to. My best friend had kitten she named Simba about 8 years ago. I moved in with her for awhile and we started calling him Peach Wine Cooler (PWC). Ahhh, youth.
As for Kenai, as I said in an earlier post, in Alaska it was a pet name. But I forgot to add that the people across the street from us had a yellow lab and my ds, then 2, used to call him Penai....
