My all time fav is Sound of Music...........Silly me I get misty eyed at the opening on the mountain top with just Julie Andrews. Julie Andrew was/is still my fav for musicals. When I was younger I wanted to grow up to be her and have that voice.

I just love the scene where Julie Andrews is teaching the kids how to sing in "The Sound of Music." Oh, and I also love "My Favorite Things."

Did anyone else watch the AFI's salute to the top 100 movie songs last night? I enjoyed all three hours and saw many of my favorites.

The Sound of Music is my all time favorite movie.

We watched the AFI salute last night - it was wonderful!

So many great songs and so many great scenes.

Many of my favorites have been listed here.

I also love New York, New York - the opening from On The Town with Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra.

Can't get one of the Rocky Horror Picture Show song out of my mind, especially in the early part of the movie where Dr. Frankenfurter(sp) whips off his clothes and reveals his ugh ... outfit. Of course "Time Warp."

Saddest song - Recently it has been the Sarah McLachlan song in Toy Story II. Also "Someone's waiting for you" from The Rescuers.

I adore the scene in Mame with Lucille Ball where they're singing about her...titled, "Mame" of course.

"Come What May" at the end of Moulin Rouge is amazing as well.

Anything from "Meet Me in St Louis"...question: Is this a stage show? I've never heard of it being so, just wondering.

Also love "Feed the Birds" from Mary Poppins and "If I Only had a Brain" from Wizard of Oz.

My favorites would have to be the ballroon scene from Beauty and the Beast, "Til There Was You" on the footbridge from The Music Man, and anything from Singin' in the Rain.
