What is your favorite Podcast moment of 2009?

Mine was Kevn's review of the Contempo Cafe.

there are so many great moments, it's impossible for me to pick one..

i remember laughing till i cry so many times while listening to the podcast....

for example, i think it was Kevin describing being somewhere and falling off a sidewalk - or maybe it was John who fell off the sidewalk...
i can't remember...i just remember nearly falling off the treadmill laughing so hard.....practically choking to death and getting very strange looks from the others in the gym at the same time..

but there were so many times that happened....
i enjoy listening to the podcasts and everyone on the podcast crew so very much it's really hard for me to narrow it down to one particular moment..

My favorite Podcast moment was standing with the rest of the crew at the beginning of Pixar Street and hearing Sarge (from Toy Story) and all of the DAP guests heading our way.

It was like nothing I've ever experienced....intimidating and awesome at the same time.

I have 2. My first was the meet at the Poly before PCC 1.0. It was just amazing how many of us there were. Also the whole Dis weekend in December. I had the best time and made lifelong friends that weekend. I was with people who got me and that is the best feeling.

Wow - too many favorite moments to count.

The in-person moments were:
Pretty much the entire PodCast Cruise. Watching the PodCast recording during the cruise was a blast
DATW in May
TSM party
the PodCast recording in December, especially Pete's "goodbye"

From the podcast themselves:
Just about any of Pete's rants
Ferris' rasberries
Kevin's restaurant reviews - especially of places I haven't tried recently.
Listening to any of them on the flight to WDW.

the infamous orlando magic incident. (that was this year wasnt it?)

Kevin, I agree with you. That was an awesome evening.

i hope that when a similar thread to this one is posted at the end of 2010, i'll be able to look back at my own in-person podcast moments....that's my dream....hopefully it will become reality.. :wizard:

I can't really pinpoint one instance, but the podcast itself really helped me through so much this year.

2009 seemed to be the year of death, family issues, health problems, and personal struggles. I can't really begin to describe what I've been through in the past 12 months, but needless to say, it wasn't good.

It is difficult to put in to words what the podcast has done for me throughout the past year. Even though it didn't heal things completely, just knowing that there were people going through similar things helped me SO MUCH.

I love the podcast team like a family. You guys are just so real. There are not many real people in my life, which, I think, is why I feel a special "bond" to ya'll.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You have all helped me through so much, whether you know it or not, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who can say this.

Love Ya!
Simon :)

Of all the wonderful memories the podcast has bestowed upon me in 2009 the most meaningful and fulfilling to me was crossing the finish line at the MuddyBuddy, with DISers I had yet to meet cheering us on.

My favorite show moment is a little more vague. My favorite moments in the show are when I go back and relisten to one and hear something I missed the first time through.

Simon, that's it EXACTLY!!! My dad had a stroke in the spring and since we own a family business and work together, everday has been a struggle dealing with the reprecussions of the stroke and now from his lack of interest to do any kind of recovery (though he could be nearly 100% if he would just TRY!).

The podcast gives me that time to put my earphones in and be completely transformed to another place. It has been my saving grace on days when I could cry at the drop of a hat. The day Teresa said "I love Woody's" was one of those days.....:)
