Favorite Moderate Resort??

I still like POR, even though on my last trip I had to go to CSR to use the high-speed internet access for a project I was working on. POR is so much shadier, and IMO, better themed. CSR does seem to be closer to the parks though. POR is closer to DD and Ghiardelli-yum!

Port Orleans Riverside gets my vote! I stayed last October and fell in love with it. It has a woodland feel with tons of trees and small ponds on the Alligator Bayou side. The mansion side was so pretty with rose gardens, white verandas and southern charm. Wooden bridges over the "river" allow for viewing the otters that we spied swimming around. (we think they were otters anyway lol) I thought the fishing hole was great and the marina was an added bonus. You could catch a boat and it brings you right to Downtown Disney. The boat ride was especially pretty at night. We finally got to see the treehouses that we had heard about during the ride and wondered why that never took off. There are horse and buggy rides around the property and the resort staff were gracious. One down side, I wasn't impressed with the dining choices but it really didn't matter all that much to us as we like to try different restaurants around WDW while we're there anyway. We are staying there again this October during the IF&WF and can't wait.

Thanks for the site Buzz2001! The signatures were turned off due to maintenance. They were supposed to be turned off between 24-48 hours, but I am pretty sure it has been longer than that now. I could be wrong though!
